I dunno, I would think it would take more than a green of a single guardsman to cement it for me. Didn't they show a finished Wolf a while back?

Furthest ahead staff are allowed to say right now is first week in January (start of ork wave 2... nobz, wagon, stormboy character and komando character)

There might be more rumours by the end of this week due to a managers meeting and what they are allowed to spill the beans about

We have seen a few new Space Wolf figures, and IG figures. I have seen some of the new Dark Eldar models, but they have not been featured anywhere.

The schedule as I understand it is:
NOV=WoC durr
DEC=nothing but full belly's and empty wallets
JAN=Orks 2.0
FEB=lizards
then it's ether IG or Necrons. Probably IG first.
DE and SW are still in development rules wise(the models are more or less done from what I hear).
Skaven are sandwiched in between the four 40k armies somewhere.

man that would be AWESOME! ive helped some friends put some FW minis together and those things i swear they make NOT to goto gether. ive learned to just bring ALL my tools when im asked "hey you wanna help me put FW stuff together?"

I've found that using different glue other than Citadel glue works miracles on resin. Paired with glue accelerators things should work out okay.

Still though, here's hoping GW will take over the most important models in the FW range!

I really don't care about Daemons but when does their 2nd wave come out? I know GW's working on a f-ugly daemon prince, that resembles the soul grinder.

Agreed. A whole year without Spase Mareenz? I don't think GW will be able to manage it. My money's on Space Wolves kicking Dark Eldar into 2010 Q1.

I'm a hard-core DE player and I've gotten my hopes up too many times just to have them crushed by the endless stream of dopey-lookin, bell-bottom wearin, overhyped, unoriginal, overdone to the point of cliche noob armies, that is space marines/chaos. DE unpopular after 10 years without attention?! Gee, how can that be?! I wonder if any army would fare any better after 10 years and two new rules editions of nothing but an errata that should have been with them in the first place.
Any army release besides SMs was probably in desperate need of an update (no-thanks TO SMs.) The attention they get anymore is just obnoxious and an obstacle in the way of far more interesting armies and their far more interesting backgrounds/story lines. SM/chaos players are just fine. I see your excitement. On some level I may even understand your excitement. I just can't feel your excitement. Instead of DE, we get ridiculous joke-armies-from-nowhere like Chaos Demons. DE should have been released instead of them. And the fact that they're not at the front of the line before Necrons, IG and SWs (armies that ALL have more recent updates than DE already) has fans like me just as speechless as ever at the way DE are being treated. We laugh when we hear sniveling from other players. SMs wanting better this or more of that or that chaos sucks since their new codex. Some even mention demands for other ridiculous joke-armies-from-nowhere like Kroot armies, LatD, Eldar Exodites, Adeptus Custodes, etc.
The above post implying that DE might put put off until 2010 has me angry. Not at him for saying so, but angry at the truth of the absolute possibility thereof.
All there really is to like about SMs, imo, is how easy they are to defeat.
Hope my rant didn't scar the delicate emotions that characterize Space Marines. (And sometimes the people who play them. ) But, seriously, enough is enough.

Dude, if you're a DE player, you really should stop rising to the bait. GW keeps releasing these totally unsubstantiated rumors just to yank your chain. I suggest you assume that any potential DE relaunch is hot air until GW shares something solid.

By that same token, I knew at least one player at each store who had LatD. I'll give you the others, but really, LatD had a codex list, players that bought that army need something other than "use IG rules."

Please. There were probably more LATD armies than DE, DH and WH combined.

One of the more important factors for the Space Wolves release would be that GW releases something alongside them that benefits the entire SM range. BT's got scouts and chaplains, DA's got Devastators and Librarians. Main question is, what hasn't been redone as of yet for the marine range?

You're right and that's pretty much what I've done. I'll believe it when GW circulates pics of new minis and the usual hype that they generally stir up as a new army release approaches.

I'll give you that. Frankly I think they've kept DE around because their so deeply rooted into the Eldar history. And the Eldar are deeply rooted into 40k. There's already been alot of 40k history written around who the DE are and what they do. LatD, though maybe more popular as an army, were extraneous enough in 40k history that they could be cut out as a playable army. Necrons are probably lucky the same didn't happen to them. I think GW is just trying to refine everything to a level that they can manage... Which makes the release of a balls-to-the-wall army like Chaos Demons all the more puzzling... Where the crap did that come from? Deformed, random looking space monsters is a little too B-movie for 40k. Their place in chaos armies was much less silly, imo.

I have seen WIP greens of new Homunculi float around somewhere a few months ago, strictly WIP and in no way official bearing on the eventual DE miniature line.

As far as I know all demons has been a fantasy army for a while. I suspect that when they removed the god specific demons from CSM that they gave them their own codex to not piss off the players that had a bunch (Word Bearer players maybe?).

I'm anxiously awaiting the lizardman book . Also, there have been Codex - Legions rumours floating around here for a while... Anyone heard anything about that? ( and yes, I know, its more hurr marienz 'nstuff, but I havent been happy with my 40k army since codex diet evil marines came out...)

I hear we're getting Adeptus Mechanicus, Dark Mechanicus and Wood Mechanicus.

In July's White Dwarf Rick Priestly said that Dark Eldar were soon to get attention once again.

At adepticon this year Phil Kelly stated they were in the works but I dont remember a timeframe. Maybe it was all the caffien

The reality of GW is if it is not withing 2-3 months it can and will change. I am a DE fan myself and tried pulling something other than my wych cult out and was so depressed I put em all back on the shelf. I will say that the nightmare doll is finally worth taking now as it has a potential of giving you first turn!!! It was also my understanding that the greens for the haemoculi were actually non-GW or practice sculpts and not official.

As for wolfs getting an updated dex in the white dwarf that is doubtful. After the Blood angels GW said they would never do that again....oh wait...that means they should be ready by next month hehehe.

To reference early posts GW decided at the begining of this year that they were no longer going to hold up new army's for the models. Personally I like having to convert models to get what I need. It adds more to the game for me but I am a hobby nazi I guess....
