Quite some people in UK and Germany started a boycott because they did not like the new race. Financially it was a quite sobering experience for GW. I still can´t understand where all the hatred came from, but those guys can gratulate themselves for causing GW to become very reluctant to release anything else but human races.

Wishful thinking I'm afraid.

Boycotts of products have to be on a truly massive scale to make anything felt. A few geeks objecting to a new race does not an impact make.

Basically in the studio bit, there was some dude with a Mac showing how they make boxes. Each army has a large piece of art, which they use as box backgrounds for super-imposing the models on. So if you look at a space marinez box they all have this exploding fiery thing behind the model pictures. That background image is a a different section of a larger piecs of art on each box.

This dude with the mac was showing off a new piece of jungly lizardman art. Although he clammed up when Greg and I asked him if it was for new boxes...

Yeah I remember seeing a box of large Orks at that stand from a distance. Looked like it might be the new Nobs and as I went closer the guy put it under the table after noticing it.

Never cared for the old Stegadons myself. I used a Carnisaur as a Skink Chief mount in my old Southlands list, and counted it as a Stegadon.

i kind of done the same aduro, it was the beast i built for the engine of the gods (carnasaur with extensive work) ripped it apart when all the lustria junk fell to pieces.

We can deduce what's NOT coming next. GW never releases two SM codices consecutively, so we can rule out Space Wolves being next. In July's White Dwarf Rick Priestly said that Dark Eldar were soon to get attention once again. But the WD also mentions that Imperial Guard are currently being worked on, and there are all sorts of Necron rumors circulating. DE have been in the works for over a year so to venture a guess, I'd say DE are next for 40k, unless they got held back for more fine-tuning. In which case it's probably Necrons. IG got a Codex more recently than DE and Necrons. In fact, though it came out at the end of 3rd ed., The current IG codex was written with 4th ed rules in mind so I'd put them behind even Space Wolves.

But I have to agree that's it's VERY unusual that nobody really has any idea what's next... (Which might reinforce my DE theory, since they attack from nowhere, suddenly and unexpectedly. GW might unveil their ad campaign the same way.)

I was thinking last night that the Steggy model is ... uninspiring. Cool to hear of a new Plastic kit. They need a new dinosaur ... maybe a ... flying one ... wait.

They could make a Brontosaurus-type but I do not know if it would be a big seller.

Somewhere I heard on here from a reasonable source that Squats were getting a 5th ed redo. I tell no lie. Maybe they finally have the core rules down they can take a look at army lists.

We've seen new IG greens, but we haven't seen anything DE or Necron other than rumours. I'd say that's a pretty good indication that they'll be sooner rather than later.

I've seen the CAD drawings at the same time as the ork 2nd wave CAD drawings, but no models.

I hope I G come soon.
Necrons will be similar to tau in that the studio can just knock the new book out without draining too many resources from the studion, allowing them some breathing space to work on the other, bigger projects.

Agree + 1 on 9 stegs in an army = lame rumour.

But the kroxis need new models and the one at games day looked quite good.

I was going to buy another metal steg (and may still) but a plastic one would be much appreciated...

I would probably go for a plastic kit of Kroxigors. 4 in a box, something like that? With some cool doodads.

Plastic Kroxigars would be nice. Granted they don't look like they got run over by a wheelchair at the Special Olympics.

I hope they redo the Krootox. Not much of a chance there, but to me its one of the worst miniatures when it comes to parts fitting together (or better not fitting togehter).
