Agreed, an expensive way of of doing things, but what an impression it makes! I think it's worth it overall, for a model with that impact.

To be fair about the price, what happened is that I had a blood slaughter built, but the legs are extremely fragile and kept breaking off. I got tired of gluing it back together, so while I was building the second grinder, I saw the slaughterer and started playing around with the idea of replacing the legs. Well, when all said and done, the scale was a bit off with just hte legs so I kept the conversion going and ended up with what you see. I really like it, but yeah, the total cost is a bit too much and I had several second thoughts and I started hacking and breaking away both models... I was scared it wasn't going to turn out for a bit.

Wow, that came out well. I like the way the conversion makes the daemon part of the Grinder look more hunched over, more feral.

Thanks all for the feedback! Motivates!

In a sort of round about way, I have still been working on my TOMG army... as you can see from the following the "summoned lesser daemons" are arriving in the form of Bloodletters:

I really need ot get back to the Berzerkers though, I only have 1 month to finish painting the 2 squads, though to be honest, after my priming fiasco (simple green didn't work), my motivation has declined considerably... I need to suffer through and just finish it though.

Hey absolute blue. Basecoats on those daemons are looking really good. With regards to the Khorne Berserkers, sometimes you just have to knuckle down and grind it out, especially when you've lost motivation. They may not be your best work, but the longer you leave them the more frustrated you'll be, so finish them and get it over with.

I hit a wall.. with the combination of a poor prime job and then life interupting, I need to concede on my ability to achieve practical results for the Tale of Many Gamers. It also doesn't help that the Broadside Bash is nearing and I need to focus on my Vraksian Renegades for that event. I will be doing updates here, but probably not until after February 14th.

Both your threads are great.

Personal favourite is the black legion Rhino.

Also cant wait to see that FW daemon painted. I love that model.

The vehicles for my Khorne list Primed (using Army Painter pure red). FYI, I have actually built 1750 points for this Khorne Berzerker list, so it is playable.

For those curious about the playability of the list, its what I would call Tier 2.5 It can absolutely crush some lists, and fall on its face on others. I found that the dependency for success is on when and what reserve arrive, with one of the largest dependencies being on when and where the Greater Daemon arrives. Too early or out of position and it's a sitting duck. Too late and well.. it's too late. Furthermore, the actual round you want them to come in varies depending on deployment and army you are facing. In summary, this list puts a large part of the success of the army in the hands of the dice, and it makes it just to volatile.

However, conceptually I really like it and I actually anticipated this during list construction. I still plan on painting it since it looks sweet and it also gets me a good portion of a Daemon list started.

I love your work on the rhinos. By far some of the best chaos rhinos I've seen. Thumbs Up!

I have been slacking I had to go back and do some more work to my Imperial Guard (Renegades) for some tournaments earlier this year. I have been working on more Black Legion troops, but not aggressively. As for the Khorne stuff, I would like to finish it, but I am not actively working on it.

I will definitely post any updates, when they occur. I plan on doing another profile on my black legion guy after I wrap up the troop unit I am working on currently though.

My full army is on here! My usual list (pictured, plus the lord of Slaanesh) consists of eight Khorne Berzerkers with berzerker champion, seven normal chaos space marines with a champoin and icon of chaos glory (just so i can summon my daemons near them), a predator, with all lascannons, extra armor and a havoc launcher, Abbadon the Despoiler, Kharn, five pink horrors of Tzeentch, run with fourth- edition rules, five posessed with one posessed champion, ten summoned lesser daemons, a land raider with extra armour and a havoc launcher, and my pride and joy- seven chosen with champion, plasma gun, two plasma pistols, icon of tzeentch, a flamer, a meltagun. I usually either drop- pod or deep strike the squad into the front of the enemy infantry, where their incredible weaponry have literally killed entire squads in a turn or two . I do, however, watch out of close combat, because they can usually be overwhelmed in close combat. By the way AbsoluteBlue, I love your armies and posts! Huge fan!

I am glad you're enjoying the site.

Just a few notes about the user guidelines.

1. Please try not to post in threads more than three months old. It's call thread necronisation and people don't like it.

2. If you are going to put your pictures in the Gallery, please make sure they are in focus -- the Macro function is good for that -- and the right way up.

Thank you, The Management.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
