I would suggest you use vassal to get some games in from afar, it does have some drawbacks however.

Being married and having two little kids (two and five months), my time and energy is more focused on them and other responsibilities first. But the great part is having a wife that encourages the hobby, so she always makes an effort to let me have time to play, paint, game, etc.

I don't think I understand the poll options.
After playing for over 20 years, I really have what I need to play the game. So it's not like I need to buy more. I'm also not a member of the "army of the month" club, sticking purely to my core choices - all carefully considered.
My club(s) only meet on weekends, so weekends is when I play (some weekends have tourneys on and they don't run if the guys are going to it.). One runs on saturdays and the other on sundays.
Lack of stores? Not really an issue here. Majority of our 'clubs' are non-store things. I have two clubs within an hour's travel. In Sydney I had 5. I can't play at 5 clubs in 2 days, so it was more or less irrelevant. It was a case of 'pick one and go'.
I game as much as I want to at the moment.
I don't need to do it every waking moment, or even every week. I have modelling to do at other times to fill in, or reading, or TV watching or talking to/interacting with other people.

My nearest GW is several hours away. Other modelling shops are badly stocked. It's also too expensive and painting them takes too much time. Theres also not enough people interested where I am. So really, almost everything is holding me back.

Once my debts are cleared in about three years I expect to go a little mad. Although not 'get myself back into debt' mad, I'll just be able to buy something each month if I wish, and by something I'm thinking battleforce equivilent or boxes/blisters equalling the same.
My armies are a little limited at the moment for my liking, especially in Fantasy.

So why did you marry her again? Some people it seems do the craziest things.
My wife doesn't hinder my gaming at all. She knows that it is important to have hobbies as a safe vent and 'me' time.
Hell, she pays for my hobby (wthin reason), as it's cheaper than other things I could be doing (her dad races r/c aircraft, her brother collects Hornby trains - both much more expensive than my mandolly hobby) - and besides, she likes some of the models.

I guess I could have technically put down time, but didn't realize it.
But a 'Because I'm married' would be a good one to put in here.
I have plenty of friends that play, I have money to buy stuff.
But being allowed to go hang with those friends, and blow $400-700 on a army...is hard for her to understand.

As a wife and mom, I'm moderately offended by the concept that being married is the only reason that you don't have free time.
She should allow you the freedom to pursue your hobby if there is extra time and money for you to do it.
I assume there is no way she would engage in the hobby with you, and I'm curious if you've even tried to get her to. She might actually get into it and then it would bring you even closer.

I'm fortunate enough to have a wife that, while she doesn't play (and I've tried...oh, how I've tried...), she is incredibly supportive. She's told me she likes being married to a nerd because when I'm out with my friends, she knows it's not out bar hopping or something.
