Sometimes I use the Reaper primer applied to the model with a brush.

Other times I use GW's Chaos Black.

And then there's Armory... I use black.

When I first started, it was usually a GW spray, either white or black.

Then I bought Krylon camo paint, or bought the cheap wal-mart brand, whichever was available at the time.

Now I Airbrush a undercoat, and then 1-2 base coats, and then layer a thin matte varnish over that to protect the base coats.

I just use GW spray.

I use this. ColorPlace Spray Paint.

Ive only had issues with the GW white base coat spray coming out all powdery once and had to strip of the paint....

Halford's car primer for me.

Always used chaos black spray from GW, but I have waiting in the wings a brand new can of Army painter colored primer to try soon, looking forward to trying it actually.

Dheneb stone and a big brush for me.

Air Brush and citadel paints.

After trying everything I would never use anything else! Cost a bit to set up but it is second to none!

I now use an airbrush with my chosen GW foundation/mix

Privateer Press (call me a heretic) black primer is great stuff

I sometimes use GW spraypaint, and spraypaint from a dutch store, called Action. It's allmost the same quallity as GW, but only costs about 2 euros.

First I undercoat with Krylon Burgundy and then go back over it with Krylon Red. It gives my army a really nice bold red.

I like to do a hand painted primer coat in either black or white depending on the figure.

Black. CHAOS BLACK! And lots of it!

Tamiya; same as GW paint only its cheaper.

I use GW/Army Painter, as I have yet to find a cheaper working product. I bought some spray paint in a local hardware store, but it leaves a lot of residue on the sprayed object. I will have to try more brands though, as GW is just too expensive.

Halfords grey primer :3 its amazing

GW spray, it's easy. Not cheap though.

Go citadel spray!

I'm [other]--Touch 'n Tone gray primer. It's actually a primer, unlike GW or Army Painter or Armory. And it's $3, and goes on incredibly smooth. I cannot fathom why anyone buys GW primer.

Army painter or nothing that stuff is amazing and for $12 Canadian.

Amazing coverage amazing color sticks well and sprays evenly.

Painting blood angles saves me time and money no need to layer and I spend less money buying paint when I prime the marines red.

Warriors painting a ton of warriors and marauders color primer and I can crank em out at 10 times the speed and they look better.

Army painter or nothing!!!

I either brush on or use rustoleum black spray paint.

Matt white acrylic car primer - usually 2-5 quid.

Initially started using white but started having some problems with the can so just switched to the black

I personally use Humbrol Acrylic Matte white spray.

I actually use the grey primer from wal-mart, it's like $1.39 a can and works great. I had no problems what so ever with this stuff. YMMV of course.

Army Painter>Citadel
It has a stronger spray and available in many different colours.

Also it is slightly rough (a good thing i believe)

I use walmart 88-99c primer. Works really well, and you pretty much cannot put too much one. It's very thin. I prefer Kmart primer, but finding a Kmart is pretty much impossible where I'm living right now.
