The colour scheme looks really good, the gold and the purple work well together. The bases for the swarm are really well done as well. I think you did a good job on high lighting the gems is really cool.

WOW! You kicked that scarab swarm's ass! They look really great! It figures that only the undead/machine army is the only one to keep plodding along! Keep up the good work. You are inspiring me to paint, but I am still in the middle of my paladin project...

Great thread. Takes me about 2 hours to put a Leman Russ together so this is really inspirational stuff. Keep it up and best of luck!

So I have finished all 30 necron warriors, as much as they can be finished in a weekend. There is still plenty of detail I want to add to them, but that will happen later this week.

Only the monolith and 14 destroyers until I am finished!

Steve finally got some paint on his models! First up are some stompy sentinels.

MAN I am beat! 11 hours to go until it is officially over, thank goodness. We have the final mini-cast at 12, and then it is off to bed for a LONG nights rest. I'll post again after I get the monolith done.

See ya then!

Keep going, you can do it! The 'lith should be easy, due to the large flat areas.

That is really sweet. It makes me feel better knowing im not the only one crazy enough to undertake such a feat. My wife and I decided to do the same.

To be done by Monday Night
32 Hormagaunts
32 Termagaunts
6 Warriors
6 Raveners
16 Genestealers
1 Hive Tyrant
3 Tygrons

so far 1 Tygron, the Hive Tyrant, the warriors and the Raveners are done. along with Half the Horma's

I wish you all the best of Luck.

You guys are real troopers. Reminds me of a night a few summers ago where I spent the whole night tearing apart and salvaging an old Rhino while my buddy painted his High Marshall Helbrecht. He actually fell asleep holding the figure, woke back up, and kept painting!

This inspires me to do something similar at the end of this semester. This thread is great!

I agree, it's inspired me to actually finish my army in a weekend ! I'm terrible for not painting entire armies this has defiantly motivated me !
Your progress is truly inspiring, I hope you all get it all done on time

Okay, all I have left to do is the purple on these guys and I'm dont for the weekend. Shouldn't be a problem.

Man, that monolith is going to need a week of detailing just by itself!

Steve is still going stong, models are being worked on and painted all over the place.

Hyde puts some finishing touches on his Tervigon, and is very close to competing his army.

Well that's the last post until midnight, so check back then to see pics of all of the armies up close.

Just think how much quicker you would have done if you had drank 74 Mountain Dews in the same period of time... Any drybrushing would definitely be easier due to the caffeine jitters.

These Necrons look dynamite, as do the Nids and the other armies. I am truly impressed by your dedication. All I managed to do this weekend was one piece of terrain. :( Nice work anyhow.

The team gets together one last time before going home for soem well deserved rest.

I was the only one who didn't sleep at all, as of this post I have been awake for a personal record of 66 hours.

Our last mini-pod cast is up at 40kbasment.

Well we completed 5 armies in 2.5 days, and had a blast doing it. Tomorrow we are taking them out for our first games, over at the Guard Tower.
