Glad to hear you're safe and well, good luck with the job hunting.
Little grotkin looks good, love the mismatched adidas Only just risen from the pit, so brain's not in gear for names yet.
Sorreor should lose the chaos symbol and probably the skull, maybe replace one of the horns with cabling, and lots of interesting junk hung off the straps. Depending on the look you're going for might want to reposition the gloved arm, the pose screams sorceror atm.
Cheers mate! They're actually odd socks but with the stripes I can see why you'd say that I'm not really sure what role the sorceror will fill, maybe some kind of psycher so a spell casting pose would work. Though I don't like the Alvin Stardust hand so I'll change that anyway.
Glad to hear you're ok - the whole experience, especially with the aftershocks must have been terrifying. Hopefully things'll slowly get back to normal now though.
The little guy with the socks is adorable! I think PDH already stole the best name for a tiny character (Herve!), but off the top of my head, what about something like Slinks? I feel like he should have something short and simple
Is the sorceror guy going to be a wyrd? I think ditching the emblem on his waist is probably a good plan, maybe replacing it with a belt and some equipment? I'm personally not a massive fan of the model, so I'm looking forward to seeing if you can change my mind on him
Great to see you back!
Automatically Appended Next Post: Oooh, and here are some rules for wyrds in necromunda, just in case you don't have them

Nice update...the grot really reminds me of a house elf with those socks. He looks like he works for a back street dentist too. Ace.
I love that sorcerer model and I had such nice time painting it. The main thing is to remove the eye of horus. If you're going necromunda I'd give him a gun of some sort....perhaps in the reposed right arm. I rather like monkeytrolls idea of replacing one of the horns with a cable. I'd also take some ideas from Baiyuan http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/345040.page .
edit - Oh and Scarper is right.....I stole the best name for a midget. So I think you should just call him Colin!

Thanks guys! Got some work done on the sorceror/wyrd/random underhive freak/maybe gang leader? Need some feedback on him though. What do you think so far? Still have to add a shoulder slung rifle under his right arm and add some bits of wire/guitar string.
I resculpted his right arm and made a staff/weapon for him. I'll probably add some bits of ribbon/parchment coming down from the mace head.
Maybe a bit hard to tell from this picture but I took apart a broken iPod and added some microchips and things to his belly plate. Do you think it works? I also changed the skull on his chest to a random screen. I might give it an Iron Man blue glow when I paint him up!

He looks good mate, the micro chip may need some scroll work to make it work though, arm looks cool, and i reckon a forgeworld autogun arm from the chaos renagdes pack would look , cool for his left arm.

He looks much much better already! The underslung rifle sounds like it will really fit him into the world. I think the shaft of the staff itself could use a little more detailing (though I'm sure you were going to do that anyway ), but I think the changes work really well. The microchips could be great, but I'm not really sure what you're doing with them - are they going to be painted up as electronic gubbins, or some kind of tribal patterning? Awesome work

Ah yeah, just realised that the main microchip just looks like a black box on that picture but it's got a bit more detail than that. There's a recess in the middle with a smaller rectangle sat inside it so yeah I'm thinking just some random, glowy electro stuff to up the sci-fi feel of him!
For his left arm I'm just going to use the stock arm with the eye in the palm, it's one of the things that attracted me to the model What sort of detailing were you thinking for the staff Scarper? I was actually going to leave it pretty utilitarian but if you've got cool ideas...
Glad to see more stuff Jackanory!! The grot looks good and I'm glad you added more than you implied to that relatively lame chaos sorceror sculpt. I never was impressed by that mini, but you've made him look much better!
Jackanory is back! and on my birthday too - I will consider it a surprise present kinda weird - I was just looking trough this thread the other day and wondering if you'd done any more since you last posted.
Can't wait to see what you're up to - hope you're doing well!

You guys! You're making me blush! I obviously came back on your birthday deliberately...
How's everyone doing? Sorry I've been away for so long - Malifaux's really addictive!
Looking forward to your new stuff! It's been a while, but I think we can all relate. Tempus fugit!

Minor distraction - Got some toy cars in a £1 shop and bashed them up to act as terrain. My gaming group is actually planning on playing some Necromunda in the near future so we're going to have to build up some terrain for it:
Haha, I've never played it but I can imagine! I've collected a few empty cans so they might be getting the "chemical storage tank" treatment in the near future.
Unfortunately I didn't get into uni so I'm stuck working in a call centre at the moment. If you call The Times newspaper (I'm sorry! I hate Murdoch as much as you do!) subscriptions customer services department you'll be through to my department in Bristol though I do mainly admin so it's unlikely it'll be me!
Currently working on some dogs, zombies and ghouls so I can have all the options. Really don't know what I'm doing regarding choosing my gang so I'm going for weapon load-outs that I think look cool! Any scavvy players have any tips?
Automatically Appended Next Post: Sorry, that should have been "dogs", zombies and ghouls.

Great cars! Bargain store finds like that are always brilliant, and looks like they were worth the effort. You might be interested in this technique though. Gets you results like these without having to spend much more money!
Spoiler:
Can't wait to see what those feet turn into. In terms of the Scavvy gang, I vote model up something that you enjoy, then work out the gang list afterwards - Necromunda's hardly the most balanced game in the world, so playing it for the story seems to work a lot better! Though one bit of advice if you insist: Don't take blunderbusses. They are seriously, seriously awful

Those crinkly foil ones are great! I've been meaning to get some plaster actually...
Couple more pics after today's day off work:
No prizes for guessing that the big guy on the left is going to be scaly #2. He's going to be pretty different to Mr Fortescue, not reptilian at all:
The start of the horde element of my gang. Couple of zombies, couple of ghouls (from Mantic) and my scavvy dogs (from Hasslefree). I just love all these sculpts:
Run doggies, run!
He's a big guy but his head sticks out from his torso so he won't be any taller than what you see there. Also I've lengthened his torso, which means his legs have become shorter.
I'm going to need about 10 models for a gang right? Kind of tempting to get some models that I can use without conversions/very little conversion to bulk up the numbers as scratch sculpting takes a while! Any ideas?
