This. How did you do this? I've been trying to get a halfway realistic looking desert for my Tyranid models for years now. That looks so amazing it's unbelievable.

Haha why would you want a desert as a Tyranid player? Wouldn't your charge across the table end up in one horribly effective shooting phase for your opponent with a more open table?

I think Desert Tables and Snow tables are the coolest, and most people think of them as large open plains...

What about the deserted towns? The snowy hills/desert slopes? The pine forest/Cactus pwn area?

The idea is that I'm modeling my Tyranids in a wasteland for a couple reasons:

1) the desert look really helps the carapace and skin to stand out, especially the purple.
2) I like the idea of my nids being in the last stages of consuming a world, where nearly all the vegetation is consumed, leaving behind barren rock and sand.

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

Terraformer, I'm going to steal you and put you in a hole with foam, sand, putty, knives, whatever you need in order to create a table based solely on that chaos river of blood piece.

Go on, try to hide from me.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

The Eldar in all of your pictures has me singing, "Where in the world is Carmen Santiago?"

That or, "Where's Waldo?"

LOL!

If you are jumping on the Dinobot meme bandwagon regarding the new Warhammer 40k Chaos models, grow the feth up!

Hey, don't disrespect Carmen. She's got an awesome hat.

Heck, she's probably an inquisitor lord.

And now someone's absolutely got to model an Inquisitor Lord as Carmen Sandiego.

More Necron stuff!

The crystal is LED lit, and the archway/obelisk section is removable from the platform to give the option of playing with two pieces.

That Necron terrain is outstanding I love it, the ork terrain is perfect as well, exactly how ork buildings should like

Terrain always seems like it is overlooked. It is refreshing to see people that appreciate not only their models, but the very ground they play on! Good work! And keep posting more of these amazing pics!

My feelings exactly! Terrain should be given at least as much attention as the models you plan to place on it, and it is really a pleasure to play on a realistic battlefield.

I think this is one of the only threads where I can go back and look over the same pictures and enjoy them over-and-over. I just wanna say great work again Terraformer.

That means a lot, thank you! I love to make things that are enjoyable just to look at, without having to be covered in figures or digitally manipulated or held by half-naked celebrities.
