Going to be starting a Death Korps of Krieg army for the new year.

Getting sick of painted Dark Angels counts as another Codex marines!

Since I actually have a 1500 and 1850 list already written I want to build and paint this army ASAP for use in tournaments in 2012.
There are roughly 60 guardsmen to paint so I needed a quick method to pump them out.

I'm normally super slow / unmotivated when it comes to painting so I want this army to be different!!
(In all of 2011 i painted 11 terminators & a land raider lol)

I saw this colour scheme used on another forum and loved it. So naturally I'm going to steal it for my own army.
There is red on the left collar which you can't see from this angle too.

Been thinking about this, not sure if I would do it an earthy colour or a grey since that's how they're based

Maybe with Belials sheild you could paint the insides of it green like the robe. It would contrast more with the angel motif and really bring it out.

And yeah with Belial I ended up painting segments of the angel shield silver instead of straight gold, there should be a pic around here somewhere....

I love the dread!

Personally, I've always been an Orky... 'bout 15k pts.
But I started an Angels of Absolution force about a year ago... up to 3k.
Added a Dark Eldar anti-tank contingent to my Ap-Ork-alypse force... roughly 1,400.

And now, I want to do a Krieg force.
Yours are beautiful!

I like the metal finish of the dread most. I am actually putting together a DW army as well, however I am painting them in IF colors to match my IF army, but Belial will be painted up in the Deathwing bone white, it will be like he is on a training mission or something with the IF's

No new content yet but I'm going to be taking a trip to my brother in-laws garage to have an airbrush session on the tanks soon so that's coming up.

Anyway this is more of a photography acheivement, spent ages messing with my crappy cameras settings, a background etc and came up with this:

My first complete tank for my Krieg army. This was also the first time I've ever used oil paints and weathering powders. I really like both and can't wait to get more practice with them.

Nice! Yeah I had no idea that the Dark Angels were a part of the Vraks campaign till I bought the book too. So yeah a bit of unplanned army syncing going on here too

Yeah there's significantly less wings in the krieg army than your bloodravens
