My apologies. Who farted anyway? Oh it was me. Damn that stinks.
Apology accepted. I have nothing against you for not liking them, its when you say they are total garbage and you hope they go away that I take issue with it.

I recently got back into Warhammer Fantasy after 15 years and not having the heart to pick the same armies I played before (as thinking about that just reminds me how they are lost to the sands of time...), I had to pick a new army... I picked 2.
One I picked was woodelves, I've always quite liked them and after almost exclusively collecting 'evil' teams, I thought it would be nice to be a good guy for a change.
But the easiest choice for me to make was Ogres. Ever since I first went to Warhammer World and saw them in the case and thought 'Oh my god, Ogres have their own ARMY now? I really like the models. I was chuffed after buying my first box of Bulls, but it was a little disheartening after reading about how poorly they fair in combat (you know, considering ther're ogres). I dont really mind, I'm so bad at 40k that I'm used to losing, thats what I told the guy who sold them to me when he described them as 'challenging' to play. I didnt care, but the new codex coming out does give a ray of hope that they might not just lose the fight, run away and die... all in a matter of moments.
I'm deffinately looking forward to the new rules coming out.

Small tidbit by Zsoulless over at Ogre Stronghold:
Ogres will be coming soon, they've got a VERY heavy plastic cav as well as what I can only describe as being between a chaos war mammoth and a bantha from star wars! which IIRC can be loaded out in 3 or 4 different ways (char mount, large cannon, multiple leadbelcher cannons etc.) IIRC there's also a plastic character kit (butchers & tyrants I think.

Someone say plastic character kits?
The plastic cav also sounds pretty cool but I suspect there is little faith for the release as a whole with all the shenanigans

I shall wait and see.
My Ogre army at the moment is pretty groovy, though I would welcome any change which makes Leadbelchers not utterly gak.

Wait so, they've made an army of Ogres, already damn big. They gave them mounts called Rhinox, which made them ridiculous. Now they want to give them even BIGGER cavalry? Woot? It's gonna be like fielding three Arachnarok in a single unit side-by-side, I think I may need a bigger table.
It's sill gonna be awesome though. I want my Gnoblar riding a slave-giant now!

Yay more cannon bait. I don't know why they keep making these large monster kits when an empire or dwarf player can just off them with one or two cannon shots.
/negativity.
Can't wait for some new ogres.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do |

Hmm, not sure whether this 'cavalry' rumour simply means plastic rhinox - a cross between a ''chaos war mammoth and a bantha' does sound rhinoxish...

You have misread what he posted, he said "as well as" meaning the mammoth thing is separate from the cavalry.

The mamoth thing is real. I heard about it months ago from a regional manager. Every army gets a big unit.
