Was Arnie, king of all men not in the army!?
While Bennet was indeed a comically overweight villain with a Freddie Mercury tash and a fetish for chainmail, he wasn't overtly gay, and Arnold was all kinds of awesome!
The message was basically that Commando's can kill 500 men on their own, throw security guards around like pigeons, and survive grenades exploding next to their feet by doing a bit of a jump and rolling a little bit.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels. |

I like commando but don't see a reason why I shouldn't. It's awesomeness.
Arnie speaks entirely in one-liners and it dispenses with a 'love interest' using the female character as sidekick/comic relief, and instead gets on with the action. He rips chains apart with his bare hands, tears telephone booths out the ground and walks around immune to bullets firing an M60 single handed from the hip. This is what 80s action movies were for, who wants realism?
"I eat green berets for breakfast, and right now, I'm real hungry!"
"Don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired"
"You know I said I'd kill you last? I lied"
And after dumping baddie off cliff - "I let him go"
etc

I just saw "The Presidents Man" with Chuck Norris last night. It was so bad that it was good. It was supposed to be action but i was laughing my butt off the entire movie. Totally recommend it, as long as you dont take it seriously.

I have a mate just like you. Did you really think it was meant to be an accurate representation? It was based on a comic, based on some guys idea about that battle. I saw 300 for the first time like 2 weeks ago. I liked it, apart from my mate trying to ruin it.

I was going to say Eragon, but then I remembered that the huge chunks of missing plotline, the myriad errors, and the fact that they fethed up the storyline so much that sequel films for 'Eldest', 'Brisingr' and the upcoming 'Inheritance' books are now impossible, made me hate whatever was to be liked about it.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

You know it wasn't meant to be a teaching tool on the realities of ancient Mediterranean politics and conflict right? Complaining about a story told as myth/tall tale is a fairly ridiculous reason not to like it.

Yup, sure was...
Carpenter has put out quite a few decent films..( In the Mouth of Madness, Big Trouble in Little China, Escape from New York ) as well as a few...meh films as well ( Vampires, They Live)...though They Live is good for some laughs.

According to one of my pervious teachers, she believed 300 was an accurate representation of the battle at thermoplaye which it isn't.
Spartans don't get angry, they don't listen to hard rock, they listen to calm soothing music. Because they wanted to be perfect. No Anger to disturpt them. They didn't fight as indiviuals but as a group.

Dont like the movie that much, dont hate it but find it hilarious when Leonida wont take in the handicapped guy because the spartans fight as a group...next scene, after 3 seconds of group fighting they break up and everyone goes lone wolf. i started laughing when i first saw this.

Holy hell, someone else on earth has heard of that movie!?
I like Uwe Boll's video game adaptations. All of them. They're so agonizingly awful. I've seen all of them in theaters, except Postal because Postal was so offensive it didn't get a very wide release.
In fact, I like Postal. Absolutely no irony in this case. If you're familiar with the game the film is based on, it is as perfect an adaptation as you can get.

...Seriously? I watched 20 minutes of BloodRayne and had to turn it off. It was one of the biggest pieces of poop I've ever seen. From what I understand, all of his movies are like that.
Isn't there an online petition to get Uwe Boll to stop making movies?

I watched House of the Dead and god as my witness I honestly wanted to put my boot through my TV screen 20 minutes into the film...Had it not been for Clint Howard...I very well may have.

I love Saw.
All of them. Every last Saw movie. I do think the fourth or fifth (not sure which) is the weakest of the series, but I love them. I am, in fact, mourning the fact that the seventh is the end.
