Just that to her, it's a failing that it doesn't have something she wanted.
Which is a fair enough point.

I know, it's one of your many flaws that are in the "we like you despite / in spite of" category.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

My thought is "hey this looks like a grieffest unless it's confined to specific places."

World PvP (also known as world VS world VS world) is a PvP format where players from three servers (called worlds) fight over a very large map to capture castles and amubsh trade caravans ETC, there is no cap to the amount of players fighting for each server and it happens in a different map to normal PvE.

It's a large scale form of casual PvP.
How dare you raise my hopes only to dash them against the rocks of Oblivion....
Edit: It sounds kind of like WAR's Scenarios, having looked at it.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
PvP was one of the things that WAR did exceedingly well.

I'm glad it wasn't. The entire world, including all the pve events and areas, being pvp would have been an utter disaster.

Yeah pretty much, there are few maps that are in rotation and there are castles/keeps to hold or siege but at it's simplest it's a "see a guy, kill a guy" affair.
That said the idea is you form teams within your server and go about behaving at least a little tactically Just randomly killing the first guy you see probably won't help the server much.

No exceptions.

Corpses, with your permission, I would like to seize control over the PVP half of the guild.
I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
My guardian will be playing pretty much exclusively in WvWvW (you can level from 1 to 80 and get all the skills/ traits you normally would by purely playing WvWvW) with two of my offline mates so it'll be nice to have my engineer more focussed on the PvE side of things.
That said I'll still be playing the gak out of WvWvW on my engy.
So wait, is the switch role mid fight thing I saw a PC mag raving about a few months back gone, or is dual classes something else?
That seemed a big selling point in my mind, the description they gave of the party fighting a boss and switching in and out of varying roles as party members went down, or the Boss shifted tactics, seemed an actually interesting idea.
"That's not an Ork, its a girl.." - Last words of High General Daran Ul'tharem, battle of Ursha VII.

Each class can support it's allies, control it's foes and do damage in some manner.
For example the elementalist (stereotypical mage class) has four sets of five skills per weapon selection, that are themed around the classical elements, called attunements; The water attunement has lots of healing skills, the earth attunement has lots of armour buffing skills, the fire attunement has lots of high damage AoE skill and the air attunement has lots of spike damage skills.
In a fight the elementalist can swap between these attunements using f1-f4 and so can dynamically adapt to fill the role the group needs whether it's buffing, healing, crowd control, AoE or spike damage.
This is very much a simplified explanation obviously but that is the general idea.

Stealth fields, illusionary clones that somehow do damage, fields that slow enemies and speed up allies (with a weird ac-ac-acellerate dj sound effect), field of random conditions, teleport pads?!
The mesmer is a weird class.
It seems to be able to use swords mainhand and greatswords though! pretty epic.
