@ Baiyuan - Thank you kindly! It took me ages to settle on that one, i pretty much ruined one kroot by trying out about 10 million colour schemes on him.
And haha your right Gitsplitta! Now that you've said that i cant see anything else. =p Thanks for dropping in btw, your quite the omnipresent character here on dakka, love your mantis warriors project, i must admit its quite daunting in size to look at the first time you stumble across it though.

Understand completely. You have no idea how many things are completely "lost" in all those pages... things I'd like to find again frankly. It's size is the reason I started to do the P&M summaries and linked everything from the OP. No other way to get new readers involved without an index and a "short cut" to get caught up.
And I'm delighted to be here J-paint... you do great work!

@ Baiyuan, hahah! exactly! if not worse, mixing the GW foundation paints with the normal ones for highlighting is not advisable, they become a really odd consistency.
Anyway, i seem to be doing a fair amount of making lately, and none of it relevant to what this blogs meant to be about. But i've (almost) managed to get back on track, am currently reading titanicus and love the whole mechanicus/imperial interactions and thought i should have an imperial representive with a couple of grizzled guard vets as bodyguards to oversee what the ad mech were up to, so I came up with this trio....Slightly unexpectedly and totally unintentionally i seem to have made an astropath with bodyguard instead, but hey, close enough, let me know what you think? cant decide if i like the fatter bodyguards head.
Also would really appreciate it if anyone could help me with what colours they reckon were used on the forgeworld tank Here , mainly looking for that green colour, but the whole colour scheme is nice and was what i ahd planned for these guardsmen bodyguards, thoughts?

lol! You definitely don't stay with one set of models for long do you were the Harlequins stressful? haha
I really like the figure in the middle! Excited to see what you do with them, though I'm not sure what to suggest for a colour scheme, sorry I'm not too helpful today lol xxxx

@Bubble - Lol! its true, i have joined the ranks of the ADD hobyists as Rawson so elegantly put it, i will return to them, just the checks are a nightmare!
@ Reaper Man 2020 - Thanks for the continued support reaper *bow*, thats the direction i was thinking as well really, will give it a try, see how it comes out.
@ Poipo32 - This suprises me! you would have thought that being an offshoot of GW they would be sponsoring their paints, hmm, do you happen to know what they do use?
@Mrmerlin - Thanks very much man, your orks are also really nice! keep meaning to comment, will when you update next =] And thanks, painting wise i'm really happy so far, but painting red and lenses are about the extent of my expertise =p (The harlequin was clearly just a fluke, my free hand is appalling normally.)

I think the 'fatter' (taller?) bodyguard's head works just fine. In fact, since he's taller than the other due to his stance on the base I think it fills out rather nicely.
Did you just 'happen' to have two forge world backpacks lying around for those two? If I even thought about taking one from my Krieg guys they would bayonet me on the spot.

Thanks for the reassurance on the 'fat' guy. Ahah dont worry, there are no poor unbackpacked dkok plotting my downfall on my painting desk, I got a heavy stubber team for christmas, which i plan on turning into ...well i'm not really sure yet, i'm thinking maybe make it walk on spider legs and have it for the ad mech, but the crew don't need the backpacks if they are to be ad-mechified. Thanks for the return comment btw. =]

Hey, I'm a mechanic, and naturally a huge AdMech fan! it's only natural. I've actually been following this for a bit now, but I've only just recently decided to take the plunge and get involved. No more lurking for me!

lol i know what you mean about the red, but before these i'd never had to do any red, so thought it would be a nice change for me (Even if it has been done to death for ad mech.)
I think GW are definitely missing a trick not bringing out something for the ad mech, probably forge world if anything, but they would definitely get a large slice of my overdraft.

Heya Dakkarinos, after finishing Titanicus i've been inspired to push on with my ad mech and skitarii. I have for you 4 new recruits, 2 with hellguns and 2 who I will count as crusaders.
The guys with the two hellguns were inspired by peewees from total annihilation (not sure how many of you used to play that, was a fair old while ago.)
The 'crusaders' have the deathmasks from the blood angel's sanguinary guard, kindly donated by Bubble And i think they look sufficiently creepy, you'll have to excuse the poor angles, will take better ones for dakka when they are done. (All my WIPs atm I'm putting on photobucket to stop it clogging up my gallery.)
After seeing these so blown up i can see alot of flaws i need to see to, but what do you think of them overall?

@ Jet and @ 02 Laney - Thanks very much guys! the comments are really motivating. thanks for stopping by.
@ Captainsolstice - Thanks, thought they looked suitably creepy for people who want to come across human, when in fact there is probably just a bunch of wires behind them.
@ Mrmerlin - Aw thanks dude, my greenstuff needs work here and there, and it takes forever to get anything to look the way i want, nevermind. And exhalted? oh! reaching heady heights here! Thanks alot!
@ Vit - Lol! knock yourself out man, I've stolen a fair few of your ideas so your very much entitled =p i look forwards to seeing what you do with them, they are nice sculpts.
@Reaper - Thanks reaper, yeah I'm still going to stick with mostly the lens but i thought it would look good with a bit of variety, and as a way of clearly showing they are different to the others. In game (if i ever get that far) I'm thinking of playing it as grey knights with coteaz so i can have henchmen as my troops, So basically the army will consist of a coteaz conversion, a techmarine, 2 or three squads of henchmen (which will be these skittarii) and then dreadknights made to look like knights. Of course thats a long way away yet, and I have no idea if that would be evenv aguely competitive or not, (not that that is my biggest concern,) so it might have to be tweaked, but it seems to fit nicely with the fluff. The jokaero weaponsmiths provide some excellent conversion possibilities, with lascannon/heavy flamer and multimelta and the ability to make the rest of the unit upgraded somehow i think they are perfect for those magos who dedicate themselves to becoming fighting machines...can't remember what they are called at the moment.
@ Bubble - Lol thanks! He is going to count as a crusader (storm shield and power weapon). And i have actually got about half way through one of the guardsmen, been trying out a camo pattern on his fatigues, almost as fiddly as the harlequins damn checks =p.
@ Thatguy91 - Lol it's really easy for alot of blogs to just disappear within seconds of being posted, I know I have totally missed some of my favourites on here till they were on their 10th page. But thanks very much! very honoured. *bow*

Thats the one Vit, cheers. They work quite well with the not modifying the unit weapons result they sometimes get as well, gels with the not tampering with 'divine' tech thing they have going on.
Does anyone have any advice about the list btw, was thinking if i had 3 units of skitarii, 1 could be close combat, have servitors (powerfists) and the crusaders and pos acroflaggelants/death cult assassins. And then a second with a more shooty orientation, melta/plasma guns and hotshot lasguns?
