Or it bounces of the KFF, and the vindicare goes down under a mob of howling orks after giving away his presence.

Ghaz DOES have EW btw, and turbopenetrator isn't guaranteed to penetrate, either, just likely (in game terms). And that's assuming the Assassin can see through the hull to wherever the critical gubbins that makes the tank explode is, as orks don't tend to build logically... It'd be just as likely that he puts a small hole through the emergency squig jerky barrel, and does no real damage.

Same way Railguns aren't guaranteed to wreck a LR with every shot

That's a stupid way to think...
Example: The Imperium could probably totally annihilate the Tau with comparative ease. It can be done but at great cost. The Imperium has decided that the cost to its other sectors of space is too great.
They could probably kill Ghazghkull with an assassin. Maybe several but it could be done. He isn't invincible and an imperial assassin is one of the deadliest things the Imperium has at their disposal...

Except that sending in an Assassin, or even a dozen of them, isn't that great a cost for the IOM, compared to taking Ghaz out. That they haven't achieved this would indicate that either the Lords of Terra are astonishingly incompetent (they are) or that Ghaz just doesn't go down that easy

The comparison with the IOM wiping out an entire race being equal in your eyes to taking out Ghazzy is flattering though
