Deathwing terminators are 220 for 5, 220 for the next 5, can take a heavy weapon per 5, have inner circle which is fearless and PE: Chaos, split fire, vengeance strike (which twin links the units, guns on the ds) and deathwing assault which allows for choice of wether to ds on turn one or two decided by player in secret on a per unit basis

Do they have a table of their own psyker powers? If so, can we get a small description?

So far, it seems a step above CSM but not close to breaking the IG/Necron supremacy.

In Boxing matches, you actually get paid to take a dive and make the other guy look good.

In Warhammer 40K, you're expected to pay cash out of your pocket for the privilege of having Marines and IG trample all over your Xenos/Chaos.

Naa only one and only Ezekiel has it being mindworm, though he's a 145 pts ML 3 psyker that has mindworm and has to take his 2 additional powers from a few other trees including divination, but no bio, also his relic grants +1 ws in 6, not sure what his weapons do, could just be cool named and mastercrafted like last ed for all I know, mindworm is focused witchfire, str4 ap2 d3 shots 12' range, ignores cover model wounded by it, get like -3 ws, bs, and like int permanently, I for one can't wait to get him on the field again love the model to death

Seems par for the course but that's what happens when you get a crappy codex.
Let's not forget that Inner Circle grants Preferred Enemy: Chaos and that there is a Warlord Trait that reduces the AP of weapons against Chaos models by 1. I'm really glad I'm not playing Chaos this edition because my friend's Dark Angels would just take them to town and I doubt that I'd even have a chance.

If only Chaos had some sort of way to get a bonus against all loyalist Space Marines...

Yeah too bad it only works on the first turn of close combat and we have to pay for it, unlike them where it always works and it doesn't increase their points...nice try though.

If only Chaos had some way of having their ability work against more than one Codex...

Durrr if only it didn't rely on being in close combat

If only there were some sort of Special Character that guaranteed that you'd get Preferred Enemy against loyalists...

The point is, stop complaining, you've got nice stuff of your own. We get it; you don't like the Chaos Codex. You've made your point.

People are never happy with this game unless their marines cost 13 pts, have relentless, fearless, bp/ccw, and counter atk. Everyone gets their things, csm has an above average flyer, that roasts entire squads, a steal of a choice in autocannon havocs and spawn and myriad other cool things

I would've accepted a cheap, assault vehicle so I can actually use my melee chaos troops.

Why yes, that's eaxctly what I ordered! I'll take six of those.

Or maybe some bike/termi troops, guided deep strikes, ATSKNF and Combat Squad for 1 point, access to Divination, multiple viable builds and 2+cover save skimmer. Now I wonder where I find that...oh wait.

So far, it seems really good to me. The writer at least had the guts to outline a few concepts and fill them out in term of rules and capabilities.

Gee whiz, a 265 point character who according to some people can't even join a marked squad! Gee willickers Batman.

Yeah our "nice" stuff is a 265 point character. Seems legit. And obviously I haven't made my point well enough if you're doing this hahaha

P.S. You're whining in your signature.

Also Sephyr, your signature has never been more true. Looking over all the anti-Chaos stuff, not only we are punished for using a lackluster book in the first place, but then they come out with a book that gets bonuses against it. Gotta love it.

Just a couple of questions...

1) How much are the options for DW squads?

2) How much is Belial?

3) How much are Crusaders?

I'm not derailing threads about other Codices to constantly whine about how GW nerfed Black Templars. Sure, it's there in my signature, but I'm not actively steering the discussion away from Dark Angels.

As for the nice stuff, where's the Marks of Loyalists then?

I think people were looking at the previous release of Necrons and Grey Knights and were hoping that they would be able to top the cheese, not realizing that GW wanted to avoid the Fantasy Chaos fiasco and actually balanced out their new books a little for the new edition...at least for a little while, plus everyone loves being the "ive been playing this army for years even when they were bad, you guys are just flavor of the month players!" so lets keep hoping for the next round!

Eh, most don't care about about that, most care that its bland, unoriginal, with many options that aren't actual options that aren't even close to being competitive, and did nothing to fix the last codex's issues.

Um, so you're starting a rank and file model or two behind in a standard match? Who cares? I don't think this is going to unbalance anything. My Crimson Tide CSM force feels up and ready to any DA force (Bring it on DoubleWing). That being said, my 3K RW force is ecstatic with the update.

To gain an upgrade to a weaker equivalent of ATSKNF you need to pay for an icon, which puts you up to +1 point for a full 10 group and means you forgo any other icon. ATSKNF is also vastly better and yet it is the equivalent of a +1 upgrade, including stubborn?

I mean I have DA still, so this doesn't bother me much there to much, since I can just use them, but at this point it feels like I need to shelve my CSM once again.

Cypher is only in the codex as fluff.
He is not a playable character.

Also,
