US customer service has stated the FAQ section will return "shortly" but could not provide any more specific information. So, I'm going to guess August 2014

At least they didn't say Soon(tm)

Did the FAQ's have dates or versions on them? This could cause a few issues if they let their FAQ support die.

Guys will be running around with different versions. I don't remember if there were dates or versions, I quit printing them out a long time ago as it was easy to look them up on my mobile device.

which is all well and good, but you have no verifiable source with which to confirm nor deny the FAQ's legitimacy. as such they are all invalidated (technically) until GW either put them back up, or make it clear that it isn't going to happen.

personally I advocate calm and let them do what they need to do, in the intrum, you should have the basics of how the game functions, use the most important rule and have some fun for a little bit

I am going to laugh if they release a massive FAQ update when they put it back up....

That would be so awesome actually....

Nah, heldrake was 100% fine before they faqed it to a turret. If they tone it back or set it to like 90 degrees front cone it will be fine.

Very few players ever complained about GW releasing FAQs. Its the lack of them, or the inclusion of 'clarifications' that are actually changes that irritates people.

guess you missed the endless "GW can't proofread" complaints evertime an FAQ comes out? or when one doesn't come out the "GW hates this army"?

Yes, people complain about the necessity of FAQs that results from GW's lack of quality control. Not about FAQs bring released when they are required.

There's a distinction there, but given your apparent need to brand the entire forum as mindless GW haters, I don't expect you to see it.

Sounds promising... I'm not gonna hold my breath, but I certainly hope that the GW people who work on updating all the faqs spend some time on forums such as this to find the biggest holes that require plugging... a search of topics that run 3 pages or more should do the trick...

They won't do that. They have an FAQ email for that reason.
