Theophony- Its a base of Army painter blue followed by Calgar Blue. Then dry brushed with Ethereal Blue, which I think is discontinued. The recesses are shaded with Nuln Oil. And its all brush. Although I may have to break down and get an airbrush for Minotaurs.

Paradigm and Cheese- Thanks gents, I plan to paint a Rhino after the Heavy Support Squad.

Azalle- The Missile Launchers are easy, I like easy, we are good friends. Its Skavenblight Dinge with a healthy wash of Nuln Oil. Followed by a dry brush of Longbeard Gray.

Angelos- The gold is Ironbreaker, which is silver. Its got a wash of Nuln Oil, followed by Agrax Earthshade, followed by Seraphim Sephia.

Alright, got the First Heavy Support Squad finished up. Pretty sharp! I decided to use the alternate legion symbol mainly because I have a ton of them. So why not, right?

Good stuff!

Any plans for a shiny, massive centrepiece to the army? A big superheavy, or even Guilliman himself?

It all looks simple (don't know if it actually is!) but it is certainly effective.

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

Thanks everyone, glad y'all like the green. Figured I would use a bright color for the missiles, one I would not repeat elsewhere in the army. I don't see myself buying the Primarch. Will definitely get one of the big cool tanks. And yes this is a pretty simple scheme once you get it down. You see, easy and I are old friends. Easy introduced me to simple a while back and we get along great!

So, a WIP of the Javeline. Which is a really, really cool model.

I love the way that speeder looks, but it’s rules grate on me. One more case of FW stuff being just a little too good.

It reminds me of the old deodorant-based grav attack vehicle. In a nostalgic good way.

Green missiles are cool. What kind are they? Somewhere back in time I read that white with red tips were armor piercing, and as that’s all I shoot, that’s what I paint mine as.

Hey Nevelon. Well, not knowing how to play saves me from the over the top FW rules. As for the missiles, they are just green because I like the green. And.........all done. Well, except for the crew.

Thanks gents. There is something about the Javelin that says "style". Speaking of which, I started a ride for some lucky legionaries. I also put together the first 5 seekers. GW was kind enough to put a combi weapon with every kit, so I have enough for a whole squad.

Thanks gents. Speaking of dakka, I need to back up a bit. If I dont start painting bolt guns, Ill get so far behind, Ill never catch up. Ive got a ton of guys painted, no guns! I also need to work out the rest of the way to build out the army. I think Ive got another 35 marines to build, not sure the direction I want to go.

So, yes, a boring update. Buncha bolt guns and a Sgt Chronus I cut up a little. He is my new Techmarine.

Wow, great work as always man! And the fact that you do this all with brush only is really awe inspiring. I don't have the patience for that lol. Really nice Ultras. I like your blue a lot.

So I did the math and decided it was wiser to spend $15 on something to kitbash rather than $30 or so on the FW Mark IV Techmarine. Cool as he is. I grabbed a Sgt Chronos model. He has suitably archaic looking armor and an arm thing on his pack. So I think he passes pretty well.
