They shouldnt need to, the servo automata should already have cult arcana.
But the servo-automata don't possess Legiones Astartes special rule, only the Techmarines

I guess it depends on how you see legion rules then, personally if i have techmarines with servo automata who take casualties becasue of shooting i would not be taking a morale test as IW dont and its the techmarines unit. He literally bought them as wargear.

Had my first game with actual TS rules. I lost due to a Spartan, that was imposible to kill, but learned some things. A Siege Breaker with Divination is extreemly good, best possible addition to a HS squad. Ahriman rolled the first 4 powers in Divination and his veteran squad soaked up more AP2 damage, than I would have ever imagined. Under Precognition he is almost unkillable, unless he runs into a unit with mass S8 AP2. A shame his combat output is not that great, but it would realy be stupid to expect a Buff Monster to be also a CC beast. The Corvidae vets worked also decent, but that was because they were footsloging, did't have the points for rhinos. Brotherhood of Psykers and Asphyx shells prformed well, but felt like overspending a little bit. Have to get some Termies and a Biomancy Librarian for next game.

Good to hear. I do worry about points bloat with all the upgrades. Going all in with divination might have diminishing returns.
Killing spartans is always going to be hard. And psychic powers don't really help that much, except Magnus.

Regarding another matter I've seen around... which of these scenarios work: both, either or neither?
1. Psyker is locked in melee, but can fire off witchfires from nearby non-locked Castellax-Achea
2. Castellax-Achea is locked in melee, but a nearby non-locked Psyker can fire off witchfires from it

After all, being in melee effect your ability to cast, but the Achea are never casting, just being used as a virtual point of origin.

If this is what they had they'd look almost balanced.
They have 3++ terminators with ml2 force weapons of choice and can take combi weapons
They have ml1 combat Veterans capable of 50attacks on the charge with force swords and can roll on biomancy
the scouts with snipers areally essentially that except they have a unique very strong buff psychic power
Castellax which require psyches in 24 instead of cortex in 12
They have magnus ml5 which is well just flat good
Psychic ml1 dreadnought with s10 force weapon
Ahriman who is a buff monster ml4
Amon who is kind of weird but not bad
Shred bolter rounds
Weird plasma cannon upgrade
Ml3 Praetors and ml1 consuls
Right of War with Magnus HQ and termies Troops with 3++ reroll 1s and deepstrike
Weird right of War with Max troop squads
And that's about it.

3++ termiantors is not an "only this" thing, I would word it like so:
Different cults offering different buffs
ML 2 terminator squad
ML 1 assault veterans with incremental rules (but only a 3+ save)
ML 1 scout squad with some fun buffs
Castellax that use mages instead of technowizards.
a ML 5 strong primarch
Expensive ML 1 dreadnought
ahriman (exactly what you expect)
amon (scout master praetor lad)
shred bolter rounds on vets, terminators, and HQs
ML 1 ICs
ML 1-3 Praetors (at a price)
ML 1 vets and terminators (must pay for)
Silly ROW Making magnus HQ and Scarab Occults the ONLY compolsory troops
neat ROW with manditory max squad sizes for troops
I'd say they are remarkably strong, but I think Broken is taking it to far/riding the fear/hype coaster a bit soon. They are stupidly expensive to kit out the way people bring up, meaning your almost always gonna be out manned, and unless you're running nova magnus + activley trying to cheese it out, it should be fine. \

Heh you should have seen the Australian 30k facebook group after the Weekender.... Hysteria everywhere with a few salty players just flat out refusing to face Thousand Sons because they can field Psykers that aren't just Librarians.
And I'm sitting here with my Burning Lore Dark Brethren Word Bearers (or at lest what will be that) giggling to myself at the absurdity of some of the complaints.

They were carful not to let the real broken stuff into the game the ML 2 terminator unit only take from a small pool of powers
And most of the fear is from a Magnus with powers from 3 different trees as if you can just PICK the powers
And the ROW that some here call silly I love
