The previous one was a Dragon (terrestrial) Tortoise, this one is a Dragon (sea) Turtle
After what I went through with one of these in the past, I never want another.
Have they added a little solidifier to the soft-assed PVC that they make the figures out of, now?
Has there been an improvement in the production?
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Funnily enough, sea turtles are quite a bit larger than terrestrial tortoises - 50% again the weight and length, comparing the Loggerhead this mini is based on to the Giant Tortoises of the Galapagos and Seychelles, and the even larger Leatherback is twice the size

@Stephen: The added detail which (at my mediocre painting skill level) can make or break how the mini looks. Also, while I can deal with bent/floppy/misshapen weapons and appendages on a random goblin, it just doesn't do for a main PC.
I will say that Bones 3 had the best bonesium yet and the figures are night and day more crisp in detail than Bones 1.
Dragon Turtle unlocked!
Add-ons so far:

Hmmm - now they are starting to get my attention. That dragon turtle would look great with a castle on it's back - (or at least a howedah - that is something I've always wanted). Nagas are nice, and the spartans could be useful. They seem to be nude, but everyone knows that Ok for statues, especially Greek and Italian ones.

I don't particularly care, but ymmv.
I just don't like the material for human sized figures, the minor reduction is cost isn't worth the soft, droopy castings. I'd rather stick with Reaper's metal miniatures for them. When Bones shines, IMO, is for giants and big monsters.
People giving them a hard time about the soft materials and then Reaper adds statues that are ready to rock out with their out.. The jokes write themselves at this point..
EDIT: The Nagas might get me in though to be honest..

Yep. Terrain, btw, is coming, not revealed when: "We do have terrain coming up, but it not going to be revealed when we reach 1,080,000."
Reaper has said the Bones has helped them manufacturer larger miniatures, because, in metal, they would cost more than the market would pay, such as $30 for hill giant (or something like that).
Bones III had about $250 in large figures, so come back in a few weeks and bring your wallet! I've only picked up the paint add-on, myself. They save the biggest "miniatures" for last, anyway.
EDIT: Possible third unlock for the Chronoscope set, not revealed when.

Yeah, I pledged late for the BIII kickstarter, just to get the big multi-headed dragon. Fantastic miniatures, but I shudder to think what it would cost in metal or even resin.
Uhm... what's that giant translucent snake in the background?
I believe that was scenery for the now cancelled Conan pre-painted miniature game. Reaper made a load of scenery for that game and I am not sure who owns the rights to it. Someone mentioned that the snake temple was double the size it would have actually been produced in.
I really like some of the add-ons like the wraiths and fire demon. The core is also pretty good this time around with a fair bit of focus being on enemies. Still, that tree is my favorite thing so far. Really excited about it.
It is a bit of an underwhelming expansion, but boy do I want those space dinos! I wish they'd have been a regular option instead of in the expansion, but they gotta sell it somehow....
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!
