No, the reason the action figure will be over $100 won't be because of GW. It'll be because it's coming from Bandai Collector's Division. Their Robot Damashii line started out at a reasonable 2,000 yen. Same with SH Figuarts. Now, if they even bother releasing them to retail instead of making them web only exclusives, you're looking at 8,000 yen easily. So that's around $80 for a 5" - 6" action figure. This Marine will easily be $100. $80 if we're lucky.

What Barzam said. All of the GW licensed stuff has been released at the standard pricing for that style of product, so expect the same here with the thing being that this style of product's standard pricing already starts that high.

Often enough the prototypes for action figures will be made at larger scales to ensure details and articulation features work as intended... Do we know how big is the figure in the picture? Do we know if it's scale is what they intend for release?

Thank you. Still a pretty hefty size; I'm sure there was some discussion back and forth about making sure these are differentiated from any miniatures.

It looks like he mixed up the Primaris marine legs with those of the mini-marines.
Am I the only person who thinks that the thigh armor looks too small? I thought the primaris proportions were great but on this figure the upper legs look pretty thin - much the same as they do on regular marines.

Does that scale correctly with GIJoe and Barbie (incoming guard and Sister of Battle Proxies)

I'm not a chibi guy, and I don't normally care about action figures. On rare occasions I'll pick one up to put on a desk or something (had a VF-1J Valkyrie/Veritech on my desk for a long time). They'd have to do a stunning Eldar figure to get any of my attention, or a proper MkVI Beaky marine or something really classic.

Chibi Beakie from the RT cover isn't classic enough?

Yeah, not a fan. I wish the figure got Dawn of War II treatment (where marine proportions got overhaul and weapons/armour decorations were made more realistic for human scale instead of being just ugly, blown up variants of mini decor). This image is still one of the best SM re-imaginings ever made (funnily enough making primaris-like marines a decade before actual primaris)...

Joes are 3.75" and Barbies are 12", so no.

It'll be approximately in-scale to Figmas. A little on the small side, considering it's a Primaris, but close enough that a shelf in one of my display cases is going to be turned into a diorama of Space Marines teaming up with and/or purging assorted magical girls. I'm not sure which way it'll go yet.

They're a line of premium figures akin to Bandai's Figuarts and in a similar scale but by a different company.

My Primaris are going to hang with my Kamen Rider and Super Sentai Figuarts.

I’m very happy that the Militarum Tempestus gets some recognition. I’d be happier if the Scion was helmeted, but this is still good.

Maybe it's just me, but the proportions looks a bit better on these prototypes.

I'd like to have one, but I shudder to think what these are going to cost.

Really, really hope they release unpainted versions.

No good to me, as my hands might as well be Cow's udders when it comes to finesse. But I'd love to see what others do with them.

At $100 US it would still be cheaper than a comparatively sized GW model.

Don't they know the Chibi figures below are more important???!!!???

I was tempted but then saw how much Play Asia charge for postage nowadays, last time I used them it was free shipping! Price doubles once you consider postage and import tax which is a real shame.

If was a guaranteed complete set then might reconsider but not when it’s random.
