Skull-Face-Axe-Warhawk Chicks look the business, I'd Warcry them in a heartbeat if I hadn't already promised myself I'd hard pass on the game until at least 2020. I do prefer RG minis with a little less going on, but I get that these and the Jackals are intentionally dialed-up-to-eleven bonkers.

Seems I had an extra discount code as it was for RH so I went ahead and took the plunge. That and free shipping didn't hurt.

Their weapons don't really match the Untamed Beasts "all bone all the time" style. Doesn't mean I wouldn't try supplementing them in a WarCry band.

In the story for Untamed Beasts they do use flint weapons and many of their bone weapons clearly have some flit blades jammed into them. I figure flint and stone are valid for them as weapons. It's more refining materials like metals which they would have in very short to no supply

If I didn't just plunk down a chunk on a new laptop, I'd actually have ordered a set of these. I really like the look of them. Hopefully we see them try their hand at Raging Heroes-ifying some of the other Warcry warbands.

Does RH only do all females all the time? Not a comment on the business model, just curious.

I was about to say no, they did a whole bunch of “not chaos warriors” and “not slayers”, but I forgot that was Avatars of War. Keep confusing the two.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

There were a few chaos dudes and some orcs early on. TGitG 1 had the Father of the Kurganova Empire or whatever they were called.

That's about it.

I hope they also do some 'not Iron Golems', but either way, these are some nice lady babarians.

They threatened to do some male elf torsos during TGG2, but I scoffed and then immediately lost track of whether those saw production or not.

ASIDE: I just kicked the Deserts of Death KS, and had the thought this morning that I keep seeing new elf lines that are entirely female. Coincidentally these are also the only elf lines I've thrown money at. Hmm.

They made the male elf torsos (but the matching kits only had female legs with high heels).

So in case anyone was wondering or curious about these Blood Tribes, I got mine in the mail the other day.

Interesting facts- they're on 30mm bases now, which is new from Raging Heroes. They've all been on 25mm bases prior.

That makes them much more in line with WarCry models. They're also in whatever larger scale GW is operating on- so that means they won't exactly fit in with any other RH model line, but I don't think that was their intention in the first place.

The resin quality is pretty nice. A bit of cleanup but no slimy/ shiny residue. I feel the models are a little flat compared to other RH figures but that might be down to posing and me not building them all yet. I'll post some photos with some size comparisons later.

Also have some of the not- Stormcast girls arriving soon as well and I'll fill you all in if you're curious.

Almost tempted by these, but I see what you mean about flat even in this shot. Are they all like that?

Resin without a wash or paint can appear somewhat flat in profile because of the general lack of contrast, esp in photos. It's why "bare resin" photos sometimes have powerful directional light or a single dark wash to enhance the edge contrast.

They're flat in a Stonehaven Minis sense. The pose itself is a bit flat. There is definitely a sense of depth to the model but they're nowhere near as crazy dynamic as some of their other sculpts.
I was going to put up a video of them later which should help show things a bit better (plus all the models of the bunch- it was hard to pick a favorite).

I also have a box of the executioner ladies coming. Curious if they're as big as a Stormcast and how they compare to some of their other new releases. I'll try to take some pictures of those too if you guys want to see.

Those look pretty good. Thanks for the photos. I think these are on my list now. Is there any chance of a pic of one of the unassembled ones you have? I want to see how hard they look to assemble. I still have nightmares about the fantasy cavalry i got in the last kickstarter.... Something that shows how many pieces they are in. Whether the face and the head and the hair are 3 separate pieces....

Thanks, I know how miniatures work.

These look flat like early 90's GW metal models, but without the "easy-bend" solution that they had. I'm fine with the models from that time being so flat, but a little less keen on it from premium-priced, non-metal stuff from 2019.

Having almost finished the Blood Tribes models, I have to say I'm pretty happy with them- I think they may be my favorite Raging Heroes models so far.

My dismay with their flatness was alleviated once I started getting paint on them. Would they have been better had they been fully parted out into 8 or 9 pieces minimum? Sure.

Would it have been to put all that together? Probably. They do seem like they'll be a lot more durable in actual games. I don't feel like I'm holding some piece of delicate art in hand.

This girl just showed up today as well in case you didn't see it.

In case you need a Frazetta inspired barbarian woman with an animal skull for a mask on a giant chaos-y deer horse. Not liking the fur on the rear legs but otherwise looks like it'll be a fun addition to the line.
It'll be interesting to see how many parts this model ends up being made out of. I couldn't help myself and already ordered one...

Oh that's a beauty and makes me REALLY hope that GW does some cavalry for the Warbands! (which would them confirm that they would replace marauders)

I don't normally care for the Raging Heroes overly busy style, but these (minus the crotch spike which would catch and throw the thing to the ground) are a pretty cool option. I don't think the basic engine which shall not be named is very attractive, so it's cool to see an option. It's always nice to see options.

Liking the look of the spires, the faces on the machine's knees not so much.
Also unconvinced by the way the saw and gun barrel are placed there, doesn't seem particularly practical.
Bit heavy on the crucifixion theme too especially on the top one, not to mention the tiresome underboob look, but I guess that is not unexpected here...

I really like them. The legs and the arms of the machines probably will benefit from an exchange with the corresponding parts of a GW penitent engine (for legs the old ones, for the arms the new one), though.

I deleted the gun from the saw arm of my War Pulpit. It doesn't match up with Penitent Engine weapons anyway, so no loss.

I'm very tempted... though the pilots on these read more like Repentias than they do convicts for Penitent Engines. Flirting with the thought of buying the RH walkers and replacing the pilots.
