The special rule for the detachment is called something like 'Agility Unmatched' (which was translated from German by a WS-user) but no word on what it does.

It's wild, they outshoot HYMP broadsides and because of the assault move they can just shoot them to hell and scoot to just outside return fire range.... Thats crazy.

According to those formations I can take multiple wraithconstruct formations. Eldar have their own imperial knight army. This will complicate tournaments quite a bit, this is inline with my theory of GW trying to ruin any semblance of order tournaments can come up with.

Well with those Wraithknight changes I'm hoping they are 400+ points to balance all those buffs out.

Eldar are still looking to be top of the pack depending on the formation benefits. Scary,

I love it and hate it at the same time I hope Scatter Lasers are a considerable investment in points though. If it's a free switch then I dunno what to think.

I only hope the other Codexes are buffed to these levels to make it fair (although really Decurion and ScatRiders should be toned down).

Im guessing min 375 + upgrades and max 500pts + upgrades. Nid GCs are very hard to deal with, eldar getting it is off the charts good and will likely see a ban at most tournaments. It wont be Tran C'tan bad, but it'll be up there.

I'd still rather have Tomb Blades.

Combined arms lets you take as many formations as you want. its basically legal unbound. The "Decurion" is just buffs for paying for bad units.

You can literally take an all wraithknight army now without going unbound.

EDIT: Nevermind, the wraith construct isn't a formation, so you still need a guardian numpty tax as your core before you take 1-12 GC wraithknights.

Yep, this is what happens to be at half twelve in the morning. I do however wish they would have made an Aspect Warriors formation, which seems more fluffy to me than Guardian spam

Holy moly. I missed all day and come here to find that these new riders are the whip. I just decided on running DE not too long ago with eldar allies. I might have to just tack Eldar into a full army. I originally wanted an iyanden wraith army but those bikes and scatter lasers...

Good news; there is an Aspect Warriors formation.

The Guardian hoopla is only required to take the decurion-style detachment, which consists of several formations, which themselves can be taken independently as part of any other army just like other formations. And one of those consists solely of Aspect Warriors.

If it's anything like the Decurion or Blood Host detachments, No. There are units in both that are "Auxiliary" choices. Some "Auxiliaries" are formations, but some are not, like Soul Grinders or Flayed ones. Formations can be purchased and added to CADs, but not "Auxiliaries" that are not Formations.

For example, I cant have an army of only Death Marks and Flayed ones just because they are Auxiliaries in the Decurion, but I can have an army of nothing but Canoptek Harvests

From the current rumors, the only way to field a WraithKnight in their special Detachment is to field the Wraith Host formation, which consists of 1 Spiritseer, 3 units of Wraithgaurd/blades, 1 Wraithlord and 1 WraithKnight. I'd call that a pretty heavy tax.

For those who have the White Dwarf, any mention of whether or not Bladestorm still exists? Also, what does the special "Decurion" style detachment rule confer?

I just saw the picture of the special edition codex. I have never paid the extra bucks for one of those, but man, that is one gorgeous presentation. I'm so tempted :X

Bladestorm is still in. They were kind of obligated since its in the harlie dex.

No clue yet on Decurian benefit.

Yeah just noticed that, still could just take that 1 core requirement tax and max out on knights, all depends on their point costs, I assume 440pts is a good number to aim for.
