Funny you should post that Scooty. Been listening to Pelican alot recently, the album that song is from is pretty good. Pelican had been on my radar before it came out but i very much enjoy the really dirty bass guitar.

Strangely though the Song 'Ataraxia' from one of their EPs is probably my favourite song from the band, incredibly evocative.
I love every release from Pelican because they each have their own tone and mood. Their earlier stuff is way more drawn out but also bone-crushingly heavy; the song "Drought" from Australasia is one that I really enjoy and has been one of my favorite since they released it. I like the stuff from The Fire in Our Throats Will Beckon the Thaw and City of Echoes because it's a little spacy but still heavy, but more complex. Their stuff from their last two albums is awesome too; What We All Come to Need is more focused and the songs are shorter (boo!) but some of those songs are just so... heavy. Their new album is impressive and as a matter of fact, I'm listening to it right now at work.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I'm currently listening to this:

Ok, so the guy's dancing is fairly outlandish, but I find his performance impossibly compelling. He's so intense. He performs the gak out of that song, as if his life depends on it. Maybe it does.
Love them or hate them, I predict that you won't able to ignore Future Islands in months and years to come. The man's a star. Great song too, very emotive.

More like electro pop, but it's fairly catchy. Some awesome electronic vibes scattered throughout.

I'm a massive fan of Royksopp. They are perhaps my favourite band.

These two tunes are relatively new, but their back catalogue is divine.

Rewatched This is England recently. For some reason I kind of think its soundtrack would fit in with a post apocalyptic Britain quite well, or maybe the 80's were just that crap. =P

Right now I'm listening to my phone because youtube is blocked at work... But my playlist is: In Extremo, Rammstein, Eisbrecher, Megahertz, Rob Zombie, Seven Dust, Korn, ACDC, Def Leopard and Rolling Stones just to name a few of my weird collection on music.

Gets a few looks when you go from Rammstein Buck Dich to Rolling Stones Beast of Burden.
