Ok, so the guy's dancing is fairly outlandish, but I find his performance impossibly compelling. He's so intense. He performs the gak out of that song, as if his life depends on it. Maybe it does. Love them or hate them, I predict that you won't able to ignore Future Islands in months and years to come. The man's a star. Great song too, very emotive.
Only appreciating this song now. I think the front mans dance moves were a move of marketing genius. Loving the sound.

Not my favorite song by them, but still an awesome one:

And some, I assume, are good people."
At my work they've added the Rick-Roll song to the rotation. I'd forgotten that it's actually a Legitimately decent song. It has now shot up the rankings in best songs on the playlist. Here's my Top five:
Top 5 songs conducive to a pleasing Retail experience:
1. Blur, Coffee and TV
2. Michael Jackson: Rock with You.
3. Ultra Vox: Vienna
4. Rick Astley: Never Gonna give you up.
5. Take That: Want you back for Good.
My old number 2 was Enrique Englesias' underrated classic 'Escape' but they got rid of it.

I don't really stand on their "politics" or "religion" but think the song is pretty dang cool.
I think you're problem is you're seeing those things about Ghost as something more than a gimmick.
I had heard that they themselves claim to be Satanists, however googe/wikipedia hasnt turned up much beyond their "in character" interviews. But for me, it's along the same lines as Behemoth. I usually enjoy the heaviness of the sound, but don't agree with the overt message of the lyrics. If that makes sense.
This seems to be an under appreciated track on the album, but personally I think its miles better than the title track Relektor (though maybe that's just because I have a thing for the independent movies which the band assigns themselves to).
That's surprisingly good. It goes a but wrong when you listen to more of their songs though.
This was the song for the first dance at my wedding (and was involved in the most romantic thing that my wife has ever experienced, or so she says ).
I completely forgot that this song existed until I heard it on the radio a few days ago. I first heard it right at the end of a party years ago where it was played on a loop for at least an hour, its that good.
A bit of Viking metal because Viking metal.

The prefect example of someone missing the point.
Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.
