Going by the latest mantic blog post, it looks like Mars Attacks KS will be November.
It'll be interesting to see how it does, obviously topps will have their big marketing campaign in 2014 when they release the new cards, but I'm not sure how much weight the IP will hold for KS backers in late 2013.. especially for those who have already gone in for deadzone/warpath and just want to see stuff for that getting made. At a guess I'd possibly say it'll be similar to Loka in terms of interest levels unless I'm out of touch and the IP is a really big deal in the US.

I went for Loka just because a unique chess set sounds like something I would like to have. I have no personal interest in Mars Attacks, and will be skipping that KS. First one I skip since Mantic started doing them. I'll watch it though, and see how it does. My coffers need to refill for Warpath though....gonna be a lot of purchases there...can already feel my wallet packing it's bags to run for the hills.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Didn't that Goblin Stunt Mech have an exposed operator in the concept art? I have to say, I much prefer having it closed up. Hell, that render actually makes me interested in getting one when before, I had absolutely zero interest. Good job, Mantic. I may just get one on round 2.

it still has the goblin in it, it just has the option of a hatch also apparenlty
Hey guys - the hatch is removeable and there is a goblin pilot sculpted into the torso, just like on the concept art It's identical to the concept art - in fact, it's sculpted BY the guy who did the concept art!
They probably should have included him in the picture, but, there you go!
^ Yeah, that is very nice indeed. No risk of anything getting lost in translation there. Really like the look of that stunt-bot too, one of the few marauder minis that looks like it'll be excellent.. can see a lot of people grabbing them as killa kan replacements.
Also, it looks like Mantic will be previewing a *lot* of stuff at GenCon on the 15th of August (mars attacks minis and lots and lots of deadzone stuff)... take a camera if you're going!
Ronnie and Stew are in China at the moment, personally managing the production line on the last parts of the KoWKS... looks like they're pretty keen not to have more deadlines slip there.
Finally, the Dreadball multiplayer board will look something like this:
.. and will be made from the same rubber mousemat material as the deadzone mat. There will be MDF and acrylic versions available too.

Scarlet do you know what's up with the Deadzone plastic sprues? Are they replacing things, or will be offered later?

I hope Ronnie can finally convince the factory in China not to keep turning the injection moulding machines speed up to 11
They ended up with major mould line issues on some Dreadball wave 1 figures because of this
we were promised they would deal with it
Dreadball wave 2 figures had similar problems (though less numerous based on what forums were saying)
again they said they'd deal with it (I think they said they'd have a member of staff there to keep an eye on things this time)
and now (form what's just come up in the fantasy thread) the Dwarf Brok riders re again suffering with blurred detail from opening the moulds before the plastic is fully set
^ I hope they brought a load of plastic clippers with them in their luggage too, no matter how hard it was to get it past airport security.
@judgedoug: Not sure, but more minis is likely to be the way that things are handled.
E.g. $5 single enforcer with incinerator bought as an add-on is highly likely to be replaced with a sprue of 5 models (one of which can be built with the incinerator), that sort of thing.
Just to make any one who doesn't know aware... Jake will putting up the next version of the beta rules tomorrow (read:08/08/13) excluding any minor hiccups that prevent him from doing so.
They can be found here as soon as he posts them: www.quirkworthy.com

Nah, the sexist industry standard is to include pictures of painters/sculptors only if she's an attractive woman. The stuntbot does look nice though.

Some Mars Attacks concept art of "Buddi and Brandi".. Heath is definitely the right concept artist for that range, his cartoony style just fits:
"Is that a revolver in your pants or are you just pleased to see me?"
And something which should be welcome news to a lot of people on here:
Mantic wrote:Moving forward, because we’re using more and more art for Kickstarters, we’ll be posing the concept art in the pose we want the sculptor to use, as you can see in this piece here:
Hopefully the nipples stay on the final sculpt too, the Mars Attacks IP isn't just extreme violence, it also has a long history of bizzare fetish/ sex cards and art, often mixed with gore... a lot of which got banned during the original run, but then returned in an even more extreme version in later editions. Pretty much every female sculpt should be cheesecake of some variety.
Definitely a Mars Attacks KS coming soon, they'll probably reveal it at Gencon like they did with Dreadball last year. I haven't decided whether to back it yet... I think I might but only if it's relatively small and fun, certainly don't want to be doing huge games with it.

Wow. That's just... Wow.
It's a good thing there's finally a miniature manufacturer brave enough to do cheesecake.
At this point, I think I honestly hope Mantic crashes and burns on a project. Hard.
Not liking the Mars Attacks! concepts at all. I was hoping they'd do the 1950's/1960's cheesy military style from the cards, and not just Zombicide-with-Martians.
All Quiet on the Martian Front will remain my Mars game unless Mantic does something awesome. And the Martian Front minis look _spectacular_; they had them all set up on display at Historicon and they just blew me away.
I hope Mantic doesn't crash and burn, as I'd like them to continue to find success. But I feel they won't find much success with this.
I'm mainly more interested in what the dizzle is going on with the hard plastic Deadzone/Warpath sprues they announced. More info? Pics? Anything?

That concept art is not what I expected from Mars Attacks! Not a huge deal breaker, but a bit disappointing.
I love the cards. Love the over the top EVERYTHING they threw into them.
The new cards seem to carry on that tradition and even seem to retain that late 50s/ early 60s vibe. That art seems a bit more modern.
However the Dinosaurs Attack! cards were just as bad as Mars Attacks, if not worse. Herbivores eating people, stepping on people, carnivores pulling people apart, dinosaurs getting mauled... they were BAD.
I hope hope HOPE we see a small dinosaur expansion. Maybe then I wouldn't have to go spend a 100 bucks on a GW carnosaur if Mantic could give me a cheap proxy.
At the very least we should get some fun giant bugs, mutants, and hopefully some of the various types of Martian troopers.
I also hope we see Deadzone style buidlings included.
Maybe best of both worlds- give the Martians Deadzone stats and let them duke it out with the Plague!
I assume they'll have something up for this at Gen Con. I know Dreadball will be getting played, but will they be showing off anything Deadzone related?
Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

Unfortunately, their average quality control and sub-par communication around showing sculpts and what's going on with models and sprues stops me from trusting them anymore. At least with money-up-front things like Kickstarter. Things like the troll-concept-bait-and-switch and Remy-Warpath-oh-not-anymore thing also don't help.
I'd agree somewhat with Azazelx but the Enforcers are all CAD models, so pretty much what they look like is what we'll get (which is why I pledged heavily... like platoons worth of them). Their computer designed Basiliean characters turned out fantastically, so I'm pretty confident the plastic Enforcers will, too.

All hands on deck
Update #105 · Aug 9, 2013 · 6 comments
Ronnie and Stewart have returned from their China travels and they’ve come bearing goodies…
No, not food and pink drinks – we’re talking this lot!
We've got three massive bags full of scenery tiles!
Yep, that there is the first batch of scenery tiles and we've also got big ol’ pile of connector sprues. The details are super sharp, but there’s still more to be done.
What’s happening with this lot? Well, it’ll get photographed properly, assembled, painted and then photographed for the box. We’ve also got the counters and cards to get off to the printers, so it’s all hands on deck(!). Good job we’re hiring a studio painter! And if that’s not enough, here's a sneaky peak at the Work In Progress Enforcer Peacekeepers!
The sprues are looking great, as is the peacekeeper armour.
I like how the shoulders are lowered, seems reasonable that a bulked-out human could fit inside. It's good to have the 3d view available to get a proper idea of the proportions, which seem to be done quite well. Happy to have lots of those minis incoming!
Not sure on what looks to be a retractable wolverine claw though.
The terrain should paint up really nicely, not too much detail, just some stuff like panel lines that will look great after a quick ink wash.

Isn't that a power glove?
Also, if you could pass this along Squig (since they might actually listen to you): Please, please, please make the shoulder pads a separate piece. It would increase their posability immensely and might help increase their sales as well (since lots of Marine players use chapter specific pads).
My only other critique at this stage is that the arms sit too far off of the body at the shoulder, but that may be setup that way to make it easier to part out for the sprues.
Terrain looks decent. No complaints there.
~Eric
Edit:
Pouches should sit on top of the armor, and not merge poorly into it. This is an issue on their regular Enforcer renders as well. Wish they would consider making hem separate pieces.

Seconding this. I think it would really help their appeal as a Marine alternative, and while weapons are molded into the hand instead of being separate, having several hand options that are open enough to allow conversion weapons to be used instead would also massively help their appeal (For WYSIWYG weapon selection with GW weapons)
Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

I don't think he has the claw/spike things that Howlett had. Rather, it looks like he has a flip down knuckle cover. It's a neat idea that you don't see used too often. Only other place I can recall seeing it used was in an anime called Blue Comet Layzner.
I quite like how this guy is turning out. He doesn't look like he's just a reused commander Enforcer, but an entirely new design based on the commander's armor. I also like the little Terminator styled touches on it, like the double barreled rifle, that big powerpack thing over the head, and the power fist. From this alone, these guys look like they're going to be great. I think I may actually add a second set once round 2 of the pledge manager comes around.

I don't have any preferential treatment as far as feedback goes (which is as it should be, every customer's opinion is of equal value).. so you'd be best off letting them know yourself on the kickstarter page... if you comment in the comments section of the update itself, that tends to be the place that they do always read and often respond in. Or you can send them a message. They're really easy to get in touch with.
Agree that the peacekeepers might be finding their way into a lot of marine armies... quite possibly as a replacement for the especially fugly new centurion models, replace the head with a marine helmet and you're good to go.
I've taken some stills from the video to make it easier to see, really does look pretty badass already, even before the posing has been done:
