Assembled four of my Cadian spares into my customized
Conscripts, one more and I will have forty for two squads of twenty.

Took a look at my empire army; I thought I was done when I finished painting those horses, but it turns out I had also assembled a unit of Pistolliers.

The models were base coated chocolate over a greyscale prime, with some metal and flesh picked out. The bases are sanded but left primed. These are models I'll have to put some more paint on to, because the modelling work is pretty unique and it would be a shame to leave them as is.

After that I checked through my Cadian battalion + sundries.

I figure I can squeeze out 35 cadians, a commissar, 5 storm troopers (or perhaps a carapace armoured command squad?) 3 ogryns and 2 sentinels.

In the night hours I finished off my 28mm APC low detail cardstock templates.

Mostly game day for Infinity today. If I have the energy or so once I get home, I might paint some more Soviet Infantry.

Just finished the bases on these.


Will base another unit in the evening.

Bonus update: repainting some of the highlights on my Word Bearer Possessed to be a more vibrant orange instead of the fleshy colour I originally chose.

They look a little more daemonic now!

Hopefully once home from work I can do a bit more on my Terminator sergeant with Thunder Hammer and Storm shield, at a push I can finish him. It's the first one in the unit so taking a little longer deciding what colours I want on different parts of the model, the next 4 should be a bit quicker once this chap is done.

Ive started my final KSons veteran/regular tactical squad. After this all I need are the rhinos. And predator. And castellax. And assault squad. And praetor. And plasma squad. And apothecaries.

Did a quick paper mock up of the low rez 28mm apc template I've been drawing up. The plan is to use the template to create the sections from thicker stock and assemble (with some internal reinforcement to prevent warping, of course). Detail can be added with emboss, carve or additional panelling as well as further scratch building, bits and painting!

The design is derived from a variety of sources, including real world machines. Vertical side and back with sloped front and narrow windscreen seem to be the standard APC design.

I also made a group shot for the Black Legion contingent of my Black Crusade.



Unfortunately with a couple of decades under my belt I still paint armies like a ten year old!

I made some tiny simple grave stones, for when i need tiny simple grave stones

Found a broken RC monster truck and an abandoned hull of an old scratch build.

Started work on a Gobsmasher (small ork battle wagon / large armoured war buggy).

Happily, as well as huge wheels, the monster truck also donated a lighting rig, exhaust, fuel tanks, and some exposed engine parts. Basically just need to detail the front and add a rear hatch for it to be done!

Seeing if I can get the energy up to finish the howdah of my Great Beast of Gorgoroth. And see if I can wash the custom bases for my Laketown Guard.

Did the shading on the first half of the Space Hulk Genestealers last night. Today, I'll do the base layers and shading on the second half and start on highlights for the first batch.

Start tackling Jotum. Perhaps try a conversion of one of my 2nd ed Fusilier into a Hexa.

The current 'cannon' is a place holder until I can find something more 40k. I'll probably raise the front suspension a little and get rid of the roll bars. They didn't work. Might keep the rally lights though!

Built the last two Mortar team members. Priming them next and then a decision on what to paint next. More Guard or more Eldar.

I started finishing the last few members of all my half-finished squads. Wish me luck!

I will finish building my new Land Raider for my Custodes.

Cleaned the airbrush.
Cleaned and glued 15 Mantic succubi legs and bodies. Gonna do the limbs in the evening.

Finally finished assembling my Salamander Command Vehicle

Finished up the death marshals for my Tara crew.

Putting the final touches on my final DI Primaris model, and assembling a Plagueburst Crawler for my Death Guard. The PBC is, so far, one of the most fun builds I've had in a while. I just absolutely love the model, and the kit is pretty easy to put together even though mine had a warped bottom plate (not too bad, but I had to be creative and use rubber bands to get everything to fit together properly on the base hull).

Continue work on Jotum. Might get some more work done on the Soviet Infantry for the down time.

Completing some MDF terrain and putting finishing touches on my inquisitor and priest for the upcoming INQ28 campaign

Started to prime three Mortar team members. Ran out of primer, which really bites as I can only prime models when Mrs Captain Brown and Miss Captain Brown are out for a long time. :( Went and bought some more primer.

Assembly line painting 20 GSC neophytes.
All are primed khaki and I'm using different colored chest plates to differentiate units.

Starting to assemble 2 boxes of Blightlord Terminators. Attempting a bit of green stuffing to create slightly unique models for the duplicates

Picked up a new saw and a few chisels, as a result finally made a start on my new work bench. two of the three end frames are assembled (its going to be an L shape), third will be tomorrow.

Also cut the first of the table support beams, need to find a file to get some of the joints to fit, the garage is dark and scary so thats waiting until tomorrow as well.

Hope to get to the point of fitting the deck by the weekend.

Think 8' tall monster, 2' deep desk 6'x6' in an L as the lowest level, 6" high shelf 14" deep just above it for paint caddies etc, space under for stuff to lurk in, lose stuff in, moths, slugs and other odds and sods.

18" above that is going to be a shelf sized to store KR cases on end, and 18" above that another the same for other storage boxes.

The uprights are tall enough it may get a further shelf above that.

Dedicated spray area at one end, then on the "L" space for my work laptop when working from home...

Found out i left my compressor on for over 5 days....

probably need to figure out how to get the moisture out of my tank.
