It's a few years old, but I'm still fairly pleased with this Nurgle Dreadnought I made out of the Venerable Dread kit and some defiler parts. Oh, and a lot of greenstuff.

But more recently, I'm pleased with this Dark Apostle that I made out of the plastic Chaos Lord kit, plus some other bits and pieces.

It just occurred to me that although I finished my Big Mek months ago, I never posted a pic of him here.

This dude really is the focal point of Ork horde and definitely my best conversion to date.

Apologies if you're a regular in the monthly painting contest and have already seen him!

Wow, there were a lot of PAGES of posts for this one, but seeing as this is a site dedicated to making 40k models, I shouldn't be surprised, right?

Well, I haven't done too many of these, as I mismanage time and intent very well; I'm still working on my Rogue Trader custom, and am sort of doubting if he'll ever get done; maybe next time I go on vacation

As for ones I HAVE done, Governor-Militant Markus Krueger is the best one I have, whether he's "good" by actual artist's standards, or not.

So, Markus Krueger here is my homage to Lukas Alexander, from Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. He's a kind of HQ I wish the Guard could have, but assaulty anything isn't really their style. A Commissar, a Senior Officer they don't make, right now, and some other bits all had to give their lives, that this piece could be born, but I'm still very pleased with how it turned out. His stat block is one part "probably broken", mixed with one part "and still not something anyone would use", but still one I'm very proud of. Sorry it's a bit big, but the new camera did well; I just don't know how to adjust size on the screen, here.

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

Great job, love it. Would you be able to upload a larger image of it? Reason I ask I have a thread dedicated to conversion ideas and I'd like to feature your model there...assuming that's ok with you of course!

No problem at all! The photo will be the same size as the ones i've been taking recently (4320x3240) but a lot closer to the model - any angle you want in particular?
