Yeah, I'm liking it. I'm going to add a piston from the surface by the Aquila to the gap next to the side exhaust, I think. I've also decided that I'm no going to attach the other whirlwind box, which was going to stay ultrasmurf, as I like the asymmetry. I might make a bandstand instead for there, but I think I'll see once the boyz are in situ. They got the rest of their priming this morning (no ponchos, btw, it just wasn't doing it for me), so painting on them may commence this weekend. Automatically Appended Next Post: ... Pistons not look right :( but I'll live. If only the right wing would stay on now. Bah. Automatically Appended Next Post: Hooray! It stays on! So, some colour, leathers, etc. all ready for inking, and then some sponge weathering methinks. Photos ate a bit off but they are at least not phone pics:
Note the Corona Crown
I found some kind of metal grot buggy, gorkmorka maybe, with tasty boarding ramps that I might use along the sides of the front howdah balcony.

Hmm. Any way of reverting from autoadjusted pics? May just have to re-upload otherwise - bit too bright. Bought some new drybrushes today, army painter ones, looking forward to trying them. Also bumped into a mate, who happened to have a spare unbuilt sob immolator turret on him. As you do. So the quest for the modular sob tank continues!

It means totally fed up, can't be bothered, totally demotivated.
In my case, it would be the fact that one side of the howdah had started to come loose...
Or to put it another way.

I think it's going to need put in a box for a while and I'll work on something else.

That way being DOWN!
So, onto new(ish) things. Decided to go through my unbuilt pile (a stool with a lid ) and see what took my fancy. Lovely mrs g got me a furioso for Xmas, and I've been meaning to do my weeping angel death company for a while:
I shall call him... Flyswatter. Or should that be Fishswatter?
And put together Saint Mary, that came in my santa package from the lovely gymnogyps:
She'll be getting a nice chunky backpack, and will run as a basic cheapo Malleus =][= with the death cult of while doubling up as a Cannoness if the need arises.
Speaking of my nascent sisters, I imagine this is the next big build...
There's more to that box than meets the eye...
Thanks for all the support gang - much appreciated indeed!

Don't feel so bad. One of my scratch built battlewagons completely fell apart. As in, every single piece of plasticard had to be completely re-glued. (When the only non plasticard pieces are some tracks, thats a lot). It took me about 3 hours to reglue, but its much sturdier.
Use this as an opportunity to 're-engineer' it for strength.

Yeah, I'm pleased with pose. I really like tau - if I did Xenos, they'd be my go-to - and there's a bunch coming up on other bases. Violet and turquoise scheme ahoy! That gun is of Mary's is a Nail gun iirc, but a rotary cannon could work, or maybe, I was thinking, an incinerator - something that'll support death cult well. And as for the box, well...

The billion-teef tank. We can rebuild it. We has da teknology
GiraffeX wrote:The flyswatter looks coll and so does Saint Mary, do you know which line of minis shes from?

Saint Mary is from Dark Age. Same as the non- GW death cult.
The razorback box contains the makings of a modular sob tank. Immolators can be run with hb, so it's as good a starting place as any.
As well as the sprues, then, there's this lot:
In the fluff every exorcist is a unique work of art. So, sounds like an excuse to mod to me! The cod bits will form the altar where I'll mount turret (an upside whirlwind turret from Santa with havoc tubes) or a shrine of some sort perhaps for the repressor/non-turret variants. Parchments etc down the sides, classic metal doors (plasticard for mounting on) and immolator turret.
Not decided on mm turret style yet, thinking maybe a kind of tiered stack of 4 vertically, if that makes sense. Alternatively a + shaped four barrel mm based off the metal? Votes?
I still need a dozer for it, so if anyone can chum me a chimera blade or better yet a vindicator then you may have my eternal gratitude.
The chick with the shotgun, incidentally, is an Escher gang that's counts-as Jacobus - I really object to the sob being led by a bloke! Having said that of course, I'll probably use the confrontation acolyte with the pointy hat as the Confessor.
I'll try to knock something out over the coming days, I've also got a gms to build...
