What's amazing to me is how much detail is going into that ship given how tiny it is. Pretty darn impressive feat of painting and patience Iffy. You should make sure that one makes it into your permanent portfolio... along with some mundane object that gives it scale.

Agreed with the above. I keep thinking, man those look pretty good, then the space marine puts it into scale, and I think gak, that is really really good

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!
"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."
—Captain Khârn of the World Eaters Legion's 8th Assault Company, from his unpublished treatise The Eighteen Legions |

I leave you lot alone for 10 minutes...
It did indeed used to be called a blogoblag, or blagoblog, or something equally silly, but I changed it to reflect my super serious commitment to my craft as I am a super serious person and if any of you disagree, I will fight you.
I finished up the ships today, so here are the shots
Click for HUGE
Finally finished. All to character standard, all very very tiny. I've learned an awful lot with these, from painting water to fine detailing. Very happy Whalemusic was nice enough to commission me, they were super enjoyable Bless that teeny little blimp, so cute.
Taking the shots was very difficult as the height of the sails meant fitting them in the lightbox was a no no, but I think they turned out ok.

Cheers dude! It was very hard to take the shot and try and get everything in focus with no tripod and no lightbox, so I'm glad I at least got something visable
Gitsplitta wrote:OK.... did I miss something?? Did you show pics of either of the other ships before?
I did! Maybe they just look super different in the group shot? Haha ;D

Very happy you like them! They look really lovely in person, photo's never seem to do models justice. Holding them in hand is always a whole new experience.

Today has been a great day, for my business cards arrived!
Macro super camera mode is showing up the tiny dots in the paint print, they look really smooth and clean in real life. Definitely worth 10 euro for 250! hah.
I will totally start sending a couple of these back with orders, they are great!

I don't think I've left a comment in the thread before, Iffy. I must say; yours is a thread that I have always enjoyed reading through when work is quiet or time is free at home. I especially loved the Ork Shaman that you did a few weeks back.

No, I left out all punctuation for aesthetic reasons bar the website and address cause they needed them to work dangit, they needed them to work!
I'm really happy with the quality however, I was expecting a bit less for the price.
