Not where I should be

I thought that they did have interior details!

Excellent work and talk about in at the deep end, repose is looking brilliant, but will it fit on its tiny weeny base now?

Side note. This model was designed to have some form of interior. Note the mounting points inside the sub-assembly.

A little subtle lighting for this one. Noch brand pre-wired surface mount led, made for model railroad lighting.

A little poster tack, and we strike a pose!

It's great to see you on! I'm glad I subscribed to your blog earlier with plans to read through all of it, so that I can see you're back on your blog. That's some nice looking progress on the knight, and I hope you're able to get some games in soon.

Oh, Cam. You know I can't ever go back to the kiddie pool.

And, yes. Yes it does.

Really? You think I'm going to lie here and take your non-swappable weapon choices, GW? AU CONTRAIRE!

First, we hacksaw off the 'mushroom' end, leaving a straight cylinder.

Then, we add a magnet. I'm using magnets only on the two 'shoulders', and washers/nuts everywhere else. I'm cheap.

I also magnetized the 'wrist' joint of the [pugnus tonitrua], so I can pose the thing even more.

Here's the collection of shoulders and CC options.

I should find my little light-box.

Look! Guns!

I used plastruct tubing, instead of magnets, to allow me to swap the two gun barrels. Magnets and nutz to swap the 'ammo' chambers. I used the internal magma cylinder to fill the rear of the chamber, and removed some tubing. Finally, I glued the heavy stubber ammo box to the gunshield.

Now, two poses to show what we can do, for all that extra work:

"Don't move! There's something on your Rhino!"

Senpai has noticed you. That wasn't your best plan.

I hope this mini-tutorial has been helpful. ^_^

Look up the Woodland Scenics "Just Plug" system. They even have flashing lights in various colors.

When I'm "In the lane", my output is...significant. I can visualize what I want to do with a lot of clarity. For example, I've never built one of these Knight kits before, and had barely looked at the sprues before boxing them away about five months ago.

Excellent progress sir, definitely making the most of the kit.

And I am afraid you will have to go back in the kiddies pool, once the offspring start kicking about, unfortunately they look at you very strange if you play about to much.

P.S. I know your pain with the depression bud, seems to be something we as a community struggle with. If you need me just shout bud, right here, most of the time in fact.

Been working on an entry for the 25th (!) LOER competition. Because I needed to purge more bitz.

The difficulty, of course, is that I donated all my terrain-bitz to the game store run by my friend.

Thankfully, I found my ork box, and I had stashed stuff in there. FOR THE FUTURE.

Thanks, past-me! You're the BEST.

Thanks for all the kind words!

Here is your thought for the day:

Based on movement speeds of the various unit types, the average game of Warhammer 40k (5 turns or so) represents, at best, 2 to 3 minutes of "real time".

Think about THAT the next time your game drags out.

---

PS: I had insomnia last night, so I fleshed out an entire diceless tabletop wargaming system. Lemme know if you wanna help playtest it.

Great job on the detailing of the terrain.

Maybe. Baby steps.

I still need the 'rules' for the Knight Fight, HINT HINT, so I can run it here.

Terrain is looking super promising. Really great work. That bling is awesome. Probably not as expensive as GW paint either! I vote diamanté studs myself. Really push that bling. Joking aside, it really looks fantastic. Love the sheen on it.
