Yes, Mysterious stranger is avaialbel, eventually. Scorpions do however poison you in NV so finding or making ant-venom is a key thing to have now. Cazadors as well and some of the gecko bites

yeah... i know that of the first two old games... you gotta shoot them quick... for now it still works...

I really hate those Cazadors. Pick them off at a great a distance as you can, because there are always a group and once they're on top of you, your health can plummet.

Hard-Core mode is great fun (once you're used to the game). You have to remember to eat, drink and sleep and things like stim-packs work over time and are not instant.

Cazadors SUCK! If you don't have any anti-venom, you'll just walk around and die. Rex or any other melee companion do a good job of tanking those for you.

I'm glad I'm not the only one then. I still shudder at the thought of some of the nesting sites...

Yes, the idea as they are mutated Tarantula Hawks, and what it means if you succumb to their paralytic venom and all.

I think the books and magazines work the same....
Oh, and the other thing that hardcore does, is that ammo starts to actually weigh something; which adds a whole new dimension to what to pick up or not...

Yeah there are some huge legendary monsters and oh, the Death Claw Aplha Male and female do NOT go to sloan if you feel unready.

Any death claws really... They seem to be masters of stealth at times.

Keep away from sloan and the top right of the map.
Both contain alor of deathclaws.

Also, the far left since thats cazadore area and has a legendary one in it.


Long story short vik, you cant outrun them and they take a ton of shooting.
The game is glitchy though, so shooting them in the legs still slows them (even though they fly)

Allways worth keeping a missile launcher or gattling weapon at hand for these moment in time.


Or like me on fallout 3, just a dart gun and deathclaw gauntlets works fine.

No dart guns in New Vegas, so you need to get a sniper rifle to pick 'em off at range! I took the wild wacky west perk so I got a sniper plasma rifle the name is right of the old Bugs Bunny/martin the Martian one. Q-34 Mater Modulator is a plasma rifle that stays tight for long range hits and killed death claw pups in one go to the head

Why is everyone encouraging vik to play video games, he was making such good progress on the airship?

Just for him to get ideas, unwind a bit(Everyone needs to go kill some pixels every now and then to relieve stress)

Okay, just as long as he doesn't get sidetracked , I just played some bloodbowl on computer to get my pixel kill in for the day.

Other notes in this game to keep up for is i usally play this game as a melee master. It works fairly well. Well melee supported by explosions.. I got the perk every 4th hit or whatever is a knock down.. Death claws dont stand a chance against my Smash Bro. character haha...

I hate You (in a good way) because talking so much about NV, I'm going to switch on the PS now and give It an other go

well i am in the middle of a really riveting game ^^
dunno what level i am currently but at least i am now roaming around with my new best friend forever "boone"^^

but i also did some work on the airship today again... it was needed^^ by you and by me likewise^^
as cam suggested i got rid of the propeller on the main engine... and made a new one that is a bit closely relaled to the one most of you preferred...
and i made a decision... while i was at it i made a total of 10 of these ...see below... for a uniform look later on for all the side engines...

the thought somehow never crossed my mind to play it mostly in melee... some how i always choose a sniper...

exactly like me... i always look forward to get me my frst sniper gun and then i start the killing spree and stay happy ever after^^... of course going all snipery sucks when you have to fight in clese quarters.... recently i had to fight against the first nightkin and it was a tough learning curve for me... i died a great many times till i choose the sawed off shotgun i had and made quite good carcasses out of them

atm i think new vergas is much cooler than the FO3 as one can fight and play more out in the open... for an ol´sniper like me... thats ideal^^
