Birch Beer is a little bit different still, it is brewed with a bit of Sassafras...but it seems to only be available on the East Coast.


Pennsylvania Dutch is the best I've ever tasted, but their distribution network sucks. When we were out east last month, I checked local Grocery Stores and couldn't find it anywhere.

and it is sweet too?... my wife is really into root beer... when we are out and eating at a restaurant she always orders one...

for me i always imagine root beer to be a predecessor of cola....am i right?...tho... root beer is way more richer and creamier than any cola...

We had some birch beer here lately, been looking for it in stores as we got it at a restaurant. It was bottled locally by a microbrewery. Very smooth taste to it. The old sasparilla wasn't actually distiller sasparilla root, but birch oil with the sassafras in it just like you had. It's good for a sour stomach, at least that's what it came out for long ago.

now that is a nice extra info.... i will keep that in mind...and maybe some of our shops have something similar... sometimes we have smaller shops that cater for a bit broader appetite... not all these big markets of course... they cater only for the average fella...

Sodas were Drugstore novelties Vik, a lot of them also came out of Alcohol Prohibition in the 1920s. Coca Cola is over 100 years old, not sure how old Root Beer is

Sassafras is a unique taste. Once you taste it, you'll never forget it.

i saw an old show on tv once... they talked about how german imigrants braught the root beer to america... i bet it´s way older than cola...

here in berlin it is kinda a special drink too... i dunno if in other states of germany root beer is so well known... but here it has a tradition...

Oh hello. Looking good, good concept, good use of stuff and good orkification.

I would say have the guns under the wings. You could mount missiles on top of the wings, but I think the guns look better underneath.

Looks like a a little flying pig with that snout and the ears... Paint it pink and add a curly tail - jobs a good 'un. Call it the Oinker Jet.

Seriously though, the WIP detailing shots are really enhancing the look of Oinker...

It doesn't happen often, in fact I've only seen it on a Jaguar and a Cobra (and that's a helicopter)...

thrid update today on the grotplane....

i did some major work on the cockpit section...

here you see...crew... in action... the cockpit has even an interior befitting for grots (diamond plate for the floor and some makeshift inner walls...)
there will be at least a third gunner on the bolter... and maybe a blind passenger too... or better make that two


and still on the to do list... more DAKKADAKKKADAKKKAAA!!!!



the crew should look like as if they are bitchslapping each other and fighting themselves instead of seering that vessel...i think it will be heading to their doom quite...er...fast...





also... for ruglud... see that propeller... still piggy? i think not...hopefully^^...

Liking the fighting "pilots". Details coming along nicely.

thanks mate... i was very unsure about that fighting scene... when you build something like that you can never bee to sure as to how others might view this... hopefully it is posed as inteded^^

Love the fighting scene, is one supposed to be in the gunner ring, I'd think that's where the gift would really break out. Who cares bout flying when they could be shooting. If they aren't the gunner then he should be either hanging onto the udder as the others have caused him to tumble out, or being dragged by he plane, possibly by his scarf caught in the rudder, or. Parachute caught on the tail.

you know what... my first thought was to actually enter a parachute... or better just a parachuting fella for the comp... but then the grot fighter plane gained on me...

and you almost describe to the letter my plans... there will be a grot gunner in the ring... and the is meant to be one grot holing on close to some odd place i haven´t figured out yet...

and i also have a stomped flat goblin i want to use so that it looks as if he is lying flat on one wing...or even like he is liyng on the windowpane...(not that this one will have a window pane... if at all there will be a mesh...

Strap a couple grots to the wings and have hem holding the bombs to be dropped.

Have you considered adding an over sized raised engine to the front of the plane, you must have plenty of small bits of plastic for that

Nice start in the Ork madness, but I have to say that the exhausts are not 'enuff

well... actually yes... and even more so as i ordered by bits and kits some orky and grot related stuff as we speak...

but it wont be here in time... so for this one...npe i think...tho it would be the good choice... but also... it would destroy my glyph... and some other features... beside... the pilots wouldn´t know where to steer to...er...
