Vik, what are you using for rivets on this?

those rivets are cardboard... 2mm size... the whole model/ kit is plywood and thus cardboard rivtes aplied with PVA works like a charm...

Run a gold vein through your marble.

Looks brilliant.

I like the marble as it is, but maybe a little veining will really sharpen it . The monument itself is awesome did you hide any special secrets in it? A mathematical mystery that is hinted at by the degrees the rivets are tightened to, or their alignment, or the alignment of the monument happens to coincide with sacred days of riveting?

I must know I am riveted!

lol... theo... unfortunatly what you will never get from me is any mathematical mysteries solved... maths never added up for me... speaking of... i am in the process of making my own take on the da vinci tortoise tank... and it gives me the willies as i am a totally noob when it comes to basic geometry... will show you why tomorrow maybe...

i am very unsure as to IF this should be weathered?... i mean... it is a monument the league probably would keep an eye out for... so well kept and mantainace at all cost and so on...probably the fresh riveted acolytes of the riveteers are asigned to scroub and polish it every day???

I imagine it to fit under a great dome that looks like a giant rivet. With steel beams supporting it held by only rivets as welds are illegal in this sector of space.

And I'm the same when it comes to maths, I use to say that I was the reason the calculator was invented .

I quite like geometry though, plus your da vinci tank idea sounds intriguing.

Still, some pigeon droppings may happen from time to time, those sneaky winged rats!

lol.... i do own owl and eagle bitz... i could put them on the vuild as a means to keep the pigeons off...

well gents...here comes the tortoise...starting anyway...bottom and top gives me the willies atm... hot to attach and how to build... i have currently worked my way around for now... will be later on revealed in a future update tho...

Monument to rivets is coming along nicely. Only pointer I would make is to maybe blackline round the edges of each step to make them look like separate slabs of marble - and veins are the way to go... (that sounds dirty...)

Da Vinci tank is going to be epic...

indeed...epic ...somehow i can´t do small^^, and the steps...yep...that sounds good...
as for the veins...cam suggested golden ones... what do you think?

I was referring to the grey ogre standing next to it. He's not little in scale, has a tiny brain, but he is grey.

Do a deep red veins in the marble. Add a gloss coat to make it look polished and loved.

UFO tank is a baneblade for the viktorian guard. (round tank, sounds so unnatural but I see it having more benefits than squares.)

My call is gold or bronze to tie in with the monument

I'd say a light pink/rose color streak, but that would be very unrivetlike.

The only pink I want to see is in my Steak - like it rare

Oh yeah - need to so the meat juice dripping out when I cut into a steak, then you soak it all up with big fat steak cut chips. Porterhouse is great cooked rare, so succulent and it simply melts in the mouth... Damn, now I'm hungry for some steak and chips...
