Heh. Weather! You know, I don't think we've had a snow day in my region for decades? We tend to just roll with it when we get 10 or more inches in a day, freezing, or wet, or with winds gusting at 60 and the temperature at -10 Farenheit.

Yeah, not kidding. I'm working my way though his books. I'm up to page 90 of Men at arms (that was on page 82).
I've read them all up to that point and a few that are "technically" after that, but I'm trying to read them in chronological order (although I'm alternating with Dune universe books at the moment so slowly getting there).

well... I am proud to say that I have read almost every of his books...for you doc I would specifically suggest getting the book "the long earth"... it is very interesting and offers some very educational insights in the mind of humanity...

or the fort can be a Pony Express Station , of course vik must be awakened from his nap to get him to work . But think of the possibilities now Vik, You make a pony express station and use that giant Horse you've been hoarding for some time as the titan Pony Express wagon . It carries the letters and your postman inside (like a Trojan horse) to the destination of the package.
