Yeah but talking to one zany machine is much like talking to another, that's assuming you aren't just making a claim with no basis. As i said earlier the instances were fine but the overworld was just torturous.

Yeah thought so........ Admittedly 'basis' was the wrong word, evidence is what i meant to say.

That's a double edged sword, you have no evidence for it being "just combat combat combat" either, and if we were being all technical here, it isn't just combat, because even 5 seconds of dialogue out of 10 hour's play time would still make it not entirely fighting.

Bethesda sucks at making Fallout games anyway.

Anyhow, having uninstalled New Vegas due to ENB apparently being horrific to remove without killing the game I'm now trawling through the games that I bought in the reason GoG sale for something to play. Miasmata looks ...interesting.

Here's a tip. Get the Deadpool game, I played it for about 5-6 hours straight yesterday, I never got bored, the combat is good, it's hilarious and just about everything you would expect from deadpool. (though you have to like the style of humor to enjoy it I guess)

Never played it myself, but I was impressed by the language they created just for it, as well as by the very beautiful songs themselves. Also, the idea to interface with machines using song is fairly unique.

My story with this Saga is interesting. Long story short, I started playing this just because of the soundtrack. The music is just so damn beautiful, it made me play this JRPGs of oh so many hours. Just rage quit The Last of Us. Super counter intuitive control scheme + waves of bad guys + Naughty Dogs patented "Enemies can take 3 shotgun blasts to the chest to kill, and it'll take you 6 shots to do that because you'll miss with half of them and we're only giving you 5 shots to use whilst enemies have unlimited ammo that vanishes into the God-damned ether the moment you kill them" aiming and enemy balance system = FETH THIS GAME.

Picked up Borderlands 2 (with all the fixins') for PC, so I am starting a run as Krieg. Feels better than on PS3.

I have also been playing my first Ironman on XCOM, which is a ton of fun.

Had a go at Miasmata, but found the controls to be entirely too clunky. I also managed to get half way to getting the cure and yet never met the creature. Sure I only played the thing for a few hours, but not once did my dear pychotic character (year I read the ending) once have his heart beat fast.

So instead I installed Enclave. The whole thing feels like Dark Messiah but less polished and without a load of features. It was a half decent hack and slash game though, and I've just started the Dark campaign. Too short as usual though.

X3: Albion Prelude, which I reinstalled last night. Fun space sime, quite simply the best.

I have gone back to Soulstorm, finding the Tau stronghold an absolute bitch to beat as the SoB. fething Greater Knarlocks are the bane of my existence right now.

Just played the Last of Us multiplayer online with one of my friends. I have to say it was an absolute blast! It's a breath of fresh air from the amount of tension you have from playing survivor mode as you only have 1 life per round and it highlights teamwork/flanking/actual tactics in a game vs. the normal lone-wolf style bull-charge attacks used in many other shooters games like CoD or Halo. That and having your missions/gameplay actually affect what you have when you are out of combat (you need to gather a certain amount of resources for your people and then some to unlock better gear) makes it that much more intense and nerve-wracking when you're the last guy standing on the team.

They really translated combat very well from the campaign/story to multiplayer and I'm just waiting for the moment when they update/add in a new mode where there's infected involved between both groups while we're scavenging. In a way I'm enjoying this more than the main story campaign!

Ok... now in The Last of Us I'm running around inside a burning dining hall being chased by a mad man with a machete. I've died 6 times already and it's driving me mad.

I did the first time I got a SAW, second level after you make planetfall. After how it performed there I ditched it as soon as I could and stuck to scoped weapons

Normal Slayer based games I get bored with just because of the power weapon camping that goes on. SWAT is more of a level playing field. I do enjoy the big team battles with vehicles everywhere though.

I've also seen Legends of Dawn being played. The game looks horrible.

Kane and Lynch, the coop is awesome.

Company Of Heroes 2, had not intended to buy this game. But got it for free and I fare say my low expectations where met. The game suffers from some serious cases of imbalance, and the low amount of 1vs1 maps makes it somewhat dull.

Would be playing X-Com IF I could get the sucker to install.

Bought the game as a physical copy with two discs in the box. Dragged my PC into the main house (I rent a converted garage with no internet access.) and started it up.

Got through the Steam DRM, but then the drive cuts out. Because Steam has found a more up-to-date version online. Only trouble is, my landlady's connection SUCKS!

Since then, I've been plagued with slow connection speed - on a supposed "Up to" 10MB broadband, the best I've been able to get is around 300Kb/s, and most of the time nothing. I clocked it on Saturday at a whole 100b/s, yes, bits per second speeds! Steam was telling me at that point it'll take over 350 DAYS to download!

OK, that's probably the worst case scenario, because over Saturday afternoon I was able to get another 2% downloaded - taking my current progress to a whopping 3%. Sunday I got nothing, no access at all, no internet, e-mail, or anything. No internet connection light on the router.

Sorry for the derail, but I am just so exasperated that I can buy a physical copy of a game I want to play, and it doesn't install from the discs that I bought. Why can't I install the game from the discs and then patch individually like anyone who bought the game when it first came out. At least then I'd have a game I can play offline, rather than going through all this aggro.

Okay. This is one of my top 5 best games I've ever played. I LOVE IT. EEZ SO MUCH FUN! I ham havink ball vis dis game.
The greatest moment of it all was this: My team is on a hill.
Hills increase headshot likelyness (yes I just made that word up)
Charging up the hill is an Assault Mech (The biggest baddest kind) 90 tons charging my team, comprised of elite pilots in (Mostly) Assault mechs.
My man Claymore in his 100 ton Atlas fires his double Ultra heavy Autocannons. BOOM! DOUBLE HEADSHOT! The enemy pilot ejects and leaves his completely fine assault mech for me to salvage and use throughout the rest of the mission. COMPLETE AWESOMESAUCE.

Currently playing through Borderlands 1, I didn't finish it first time I tried, gave up after a while, but I've got much further this time around, and I want to finish it...

I've also recently got Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, it's great fun, but so hard to get the hang of! I do ok offline against bots, but the bots are dumb, so objective games are totally pointless... I've tried it online and totally got my arse handed to me Had fun though, so I'll be doing that again!

Finished The Last of Us, thank God. Now I never have to look at that game again.

I am currently playing Assassin's Creed 2 (on the PC) and enjoying it for the most part. Has a nice tourist guide aspect to it as well.

There's just a bit too much fighting and killing at times. And not to forget the atrocious controls and sudden automatic camera changes so you sometimes jump in a totally random direction.

The Walking Dead episode 2. This dairy farm is giving me flashbacks to Andale from Fallout 3...

I have not. Also headshots happened again. Playing a mission headshot on a Zeus mech and pilot ejected. I salvaged and then later the same mission my pilot got headshot ejected and again the mech was fine.Just stupid missiles

Spoilers! Yeah I must be one of the few people to have no past pass the first episode yet. =/

I was going to start the third episode of The Walking Dead but the first one was removed somehow, preventing me from doing so.

Now I got the first episode again, but it seems I need to start over from the beginning.

Odd.
Maybe I am missing something, as the save file seems to be there still. . .

I don't know, but that was a damn good game so I hope you get it working.
