Never got into the Witcher though.

I am glad that the titles I am interested in are not coming out for a while. Over the last 3 months I bought 2500 points of DA and 2500 points of Lizardmen.... I need time for the wallet to recover... that and I am ALMOST done painting it all.

I've been saving up for a year for those releases

Wanted something different to try so I picked up that Agarest: Generations of War game from steam. Some kind of jrpg that's ''tactical''. There's a brief moving around phase and then lots of hitting, doesn't seem as advanced/interesting as either disgaea or fft, but i've barely played it an hour. I just hope the whole dating-sim like portion isn't too creepy or important to the game, mostly just want to hit badguys and i guess listen to japanese voice actors have theological debates about humanity and war and such

More as it develops, or i devolve back into playing moar skyrim!

Right now, mostly Minecraft, Warframe, League of Legends, and a little bit of Guild Wars 2 and Wargame: Red Dragon. I'm taking a break in playing Starbound for now.

Was playing shogun 2: fall of the samurai until the program crashed and went out of game.

Now I'm super curious about this game I've had for a time called 'endless space'. The alien factions are some of the more interesting I've seen and some of the least humanoid. Yes there are 2 human factions but 2 are evil, one is neutral and one is good (science heavy faction). There's a couple semi-humanoid factions but only if you consider fairly bird-like Asians, insectoid half robot creatures with arms and some small humanoid scientist high tech dudes to be humanoid. Some of the other factions include a couple sentient robot factions, an amoeboid faction, sentient floating rock people and other ridiculous awesome-ness.

Endless Space is one of those 4X strategy games like 'galactic civilization'. Currently in 'endless space' I'm playing the insectoid robots that consume all life to expand their empire, live and thrive because f*ck everybody that's why.

I don't like their in game playstyle for the most part, but the Horatio are one of my favorite sci fi factions -

The Horatio were founded by an eccentric United Empire trillionare of the same name.[1] Incredibly long-lived, unbelievably rich, tired of ordinary life. Taking a single colony ship, Horatio set up base on a far flung planet that contained ancient cloning labs left by the Endless.

Still bored and now also lonely, he turned to these facilities. Using his DNA for a template, Horatio created a race of obedient replicas of the most beautiful being in the entire universe - himself.

Before long, "Horatio the First" as he was now known, had repopulated the planet with his likeness. At that point, it dawned on him how much more beautiful the galaxy would be if it too were filled with... Horatios.

Love it.

I have the endless space. It's an interesting and beautiful title but I can't give a decent opinion since I never accomplished much. The tutorial isn't that good either, I think watching a "Let's Play" first should help.

Right now, I'm mostly playing Dark Souls and Crypt of the NecroDancer. I felt I was missing a bit of S&M in my life

Well you are an otaku right? So you would be a pervert by nature ;P.

Speaking of shogun 2, fall of the samurai and possibly all the total war games does anybody else get totally incensed when an opponent which is either strong or weak attacks you in a vulnerable spot after committing to a war against you for no reason after being on decent terms with you and then after kicking their *sses and finally pushing them back till they're weak they throw out a peace treaty as if they have good intentions behind this and are just so tired of all the bloodshed? Seriously when A.I. opponents do this they shouldn't have the balls to ask for peace and do so in such an insincere fashion after trying to attack me when I was weak esp. in such an under-handed way. Some A.I. are particularly notorious for this even after being allied to you for a while. After doing all this the most you can ask for from me is the style in which you surrender to me. Normally I just destroy their clan and peacefully occupy their lands and would probably keep their citizens and buildings intact but that's the nicest thing you can expect out of me. It just really gets to me the way they ask for a peace treaty after they take their powerful army and their big bad bestest buds in to attack me and after a long conflict get beaten back to their home territories expect just a nice peace when they're losing. Here's a hint. If a war becomes a stalemate then you can ask for a peace treaty even if you attacked first like a jerk. However you can't ask for a peace treaty when you're almost destroyed. That is basically you writing out your terms of surrender and how much of my *ss you have to kiss before my anger of your bull sh*t starts to subside. Depending on how under-handed your maneuvering was of the war fought you can expect varying degrees of anger from me but randomly attacking me when i'm vulnerable is an invitation to an *ss-kicking.

Yeah... If you don't like games with other nations throwing threats and cowering when they're almost beaten, never pick up the Civilisation games. Especially if you're looking for a more realistic approach. (The leader most likely to threaten you with nuclear weapons and declare war on pretty much everyone is GHANDI of all people)

Having some pretty good fun on TF2. Playing the spy while Sweeney Todd music plays in the background feels strangely satisfying.

You learn not to accept peace treaties from nations you can crush if they attack you. Alternatively, you can use their desperation to make them give you settlements and GPT in exchange for peace. Sometimes you might not even want the settlement, in which case you can dismantle all the buildings in it and leave it; any rebels or other CPUs who capture it then have to rebuild it from the ground up. Sometimes it might be good to crank the tax they pay up to full so you get some quick, heavy cash income for a turn or two before the empty settlement rebels. You then have a rebel settlement that can harass the other CPUs for you.

Other than that, just declining any offerings of peace is a good way to go.

It's also a good idea to never trust any CPU, and never leave a settlement undefended unless it's deep in your own territory.

In general, threats and peace treaties in TW games are merely suggestions. Threats can be empty, or can warn you of an impending attack, and peace treaties can be laughed at and declined usually without harm.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Been playing 'endless space' and I've gotta say I'm not addicted to this game. It's quite fun in a similar way to other 4X strategy games like 'galactic civilizations'. I stayed up way too late playing it. So after not researching the right tech to move throughout the galaxy I was left behind for a while. Now I'm kicking serious *ss though and being the cravers the more I destroy the more my tech gets researched. It's not always the best thing but it does help my research a bit esp. the larger the enemy fleet you destroy. In a sense they feel a bit like orks in that the salvage enemy tech for their own use.

Anyway I'm gonna collapse from sleep deprivation because of this game.

so I decided to re-download World of Tanks and punish myself some more. Lots of map changes since I last played and I actually came out with a positive score which is surprising for a 5x weekend.

had some good matches and finally bought my E-75.

World of Tanks > War Thunder
World of Warplanes < War Thunder

im not really getting how WoT is pay 2 win? you can buy tanks just like you can in WT, you can buy premium just like you can in WT.

The only difference between WoT and WT that is really different is crew, and gold ammo. Since you can buy gold ammo with credits its a bit moot, as I have no issues running high tier tanks with some gold ammo usage and still come out with positive credits using a non-premium tank without premium time.

The ONLY thing WT has going for it is the gameplay, I really enjoyed concentrating on objectives rather than kills. But at the same time its really easy to win if you run the other team out of spare tanks.

Waiting for Blizzards Heroes of the Storm to come out. It seems like it will be like Dota, so I will probably suck at it, but at least I can be characters that I recognize while sucking.

I find it quite amusing that Blizzard is finally making a Dota style game, especially since Dota started as a WC3:FT custom map.

DotA actually started as a Starcraft custom map (Aeon of Strife) and was then ported to WC III's vastly superior engine where it quickly rise to fame and spawned all other MOBAs nowadays.

I am HIGHLY interested in getting into the HotS beta. The game looks very casual (which is awesome if you just don't have the time anymore to keep up with tryhards), I recognize most heroes from other games and, most importantly, Blizzard is very active and strict when it comes to rule violations which means that toxic players might be less of a problem than they are in its competitors.

I am in the Strife Closed Beta, but sadly, the developer admits to purposefully making the matchmaking bad during the entire CB in order to get more matches in. Makes sense for them, but this leads to horribly unplayable games that breed bad behavior :(
