Yes, I do. I've got somewhere between 2500 and 3000 points of Tau and a few pieces of Space Marines.
I don't play it very often though, but I try to regularly read or watch battle reports of different factions.

Cheers Dr H and Graven.

Thanks Graven, One thing I found out while doing them is how badly the new GW inks are compared to the old ones which I did my Fen Wolves with. I had to go back and paint the black on after as the Nuln Oil wash doesn't cover as well.

thanks EyeamRai, I'm sure your wife would understand, I made sure I bought mine something nice so she had something as well

-------------------------

I had nothing to show last weekend and the Wolves are still in progress, so close now just the black trim round the bases and a few other little bits and they shall be done.

I do have my side project finished that I've been tinkering with over the last month between my main projects, well I say finished I've finished the first half of the unit

Some Warmachine Bane Thralls, the funny thing is you cant use them in units of 5 only 6 or 10 which is odd.

I hope to finish the wolves tomorrow night but wont have any daylight for pics now till next weekend.

I've also put some money into yet another game, I really don't know when I'll learn but then thats half the fun. I've ordered some miniatures for a game called Darklands its fantasy based using some of the best sculpters currently out there. Really on edge about having to paint them though and I picked up some with lots of skin which I find the hardest to paint

I'll take some pics when they arrive. Its going to be a bit quite for the next few weeks from me apart from the wolves, I'll be having a practice game next weekend then the following weekend its my tournament and somehow I managed to get pulled in to working the day after and I think I'm working the weekend after that as well. Hopefully I'll be able to start on something new along with the other half of the Bane Thrall unit but we shall see.

I really like those miniatures. Paint jobs are very flattering as well, so nicely done!

I've tried to be very disciplined about not getting into any other games. I have a small Hordes army sitting unpainted on the shelf for several years now. That was a good lesson it what I do and don't have time for. It's not there as a reminder not to over-extend myself.

Nice change-of-pace with those Thralls, they look great too.

Miniatures are for games? I mean, do people actually play with these sometimes? I knew there was something I was not doing right...

Cheers Gits I think they came out quite well, was a bit worried as the plastic PP use isn't the best by a long shot.

Thanks yeah I know the feeling, I play about two or three games a year but then I prefer painting to playing so I don't mind, just wish I had a nice cabinet to put them instead of boxes

Solar_lion wrote:Wow. the Knight came out really well. Nice solid used look and feel on the weathering .

Thanks Solar yeah he came out quite nicely. I wish I could get the same effect on tanks but they never quite seem to come out as I want them too and thats after watching some historic painters doing tank weathering.

Hopefully tonight I will get a chance to paint my base rims black, I submitted my army list last night which was lucky as I found out the deadline is tomorrow. I usually do a stats and rule sheet as well so need to get that done this week, I'm getting old and find it hard remembering all the rules. I suppose it might help if I actually used the new models before the tournament but never mind

Cheers DR H, squiggly bits are always good

I got all my riming done last night so the army is now complete. hopefully I'll have a test run this weekend to try and learn the rules for the new units and Codex and maybe the psychic phase as well, not that I'm using one but it might be useful.

I had a practice yesterday against my CSM army and they got floored which is always good as my Dark Wolves haven't beaten them yet.

-------------------------------

So update day pics aren't great as there's no natural lighting this time of year in the UK is always dark and dreary

You will have to trust me that they look better in real life, so hears a bunch of Thunderwolves.

Group Shots

I also have an army shot of what I'm taking next weekend its a very small amount of models I must say, I don't expect to do very well as long as I don't face Tau I should have a great day.

I think the rest of today will be looking at assembling some more models for the to be painted box, need to get as much primed before winter sets in. If I get much assembled I'll do a pic if you're interested.

I've already started planning my projects for next year but more on that later....

Good heavens that's a lot of power fists... that unit must cost you a mint to field!

Yea they are rather expensive its just under 250 points for a squad of three two with fists and one with claw(s). They work out the same points value as my squad of five Wolf Guard in TDA armour with lots of add on's. But you have to consider that's ten powerfist attacks on the charge from one unit with a 3++ save the claw guys have melta bombs as well

The eye of terror

Love that you've done a wide range of chaos, there's just so many choices that you could pretty much go anywhere with it.

Flawless host is definitely one of my favourite ways to do Slaanesh, and Skyrar's Dark Wolves are an army on the 'maybe one day' waiting list.

Reading through from page 1 you can definitely see how you've improved over the years, will be keeping up to date from here on in!
