The top of the staff on the rangers, is that a medium blue with pink highlights? My screen isn't showing it easy enough to determine, I like it and want to do something similar.

I have some treemen and the Sisters on dragon.

I really want some metal Eternal Guard and Wild Riders, its just getting of them that's the hard part.

ok we are now on to the Undead hordes, to lead them with have the following vampire, she's an old model who's had a bit of a touch up in the skin department and been re-based.

Then we have a Necromancer who I finished yesterday, I went with a star theme to see if I could pull it off after seeing Iffy's wraith knight. You can click on the pics for bigger images in my gallery. I'm going for a jungle theme for my undead, hopefully this will show more on the units.

I'm now concentrating on my next unit for the unofficial dakka monthly painting comp which is currently upto this stage.

I'm having issues wanting to paint at the moment as real life work is taking a turn for the worse, I cant really say much at the moment but its all going rather

Painting must continue though otherwise I will loose my marbles, well the one I have left

Necromancer looks good. Vampire is cool too. Always a fan of the old school seductress image of female vampires even if it is a little overdone a lot of the time. The new regiment is an interesting start. Going to be a little diorama as well?

I can really sympathise with the work situation. I lost a job at Christmas last year and believe me I still am not feeling like I have recovered. Hopefully you situation isn't as bad as that. But keep your head up.

Cheers Archer yeah its sort of going to be a mini diorama, hopefully it will work out ok in the time left.

We will see what happens on the work front, anything could happen at the moment.

Thanks Para, it's the Avatars of War sculpt, it had a lot more detail than I thought it did.

No update this weekend on the skeleton unit I'm afraid, they are taking ages to paint. I'm starting to doubt if I will get them finished by the end of next weekend for the painting contest.

I had a couple of wins on ebay this week for a change and won some Wood Elf Eternal guard (metal ones), they will go onto the painting list with the rest of the Wood Elf reinforcements. I'm sure I can get two units of twenty out of these guys

It's bad when you have to keep a list of what needs painting, I'm sure I'm getting slower

Great work on both the Vamp and the Necromancer there. I think you pulled off the star-robe well, and as already mentioned, the rusted scythe is a nice touch. What model is the Vampire?

Also, grats on the Eternal Guard haul there. I've just got a few of those models but like yourself, I wouldn't mind grabbing a few more to get a unit or two of them while I can.

Good luck on the work front. I've had a pretty rough time this year as well. I wasn't in any danger of losing my job, since they loved what I was doing, the problem was that it was stressing me out and doing my head in. Now I've got a week and a bit to wind down before heading back in, so best of luck to you going forward there.

The Vampire model is a limited edition CMON mini that I picked up, you can find her here https://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/miniatures/cmon-miniatures-2/cmon-vampire-countess.html

I've just won some Wild Riders as well so they should be with me next week, I've been after these for ages they seem hard to get but I was the only bidder this time

Work front isn't good should here more next week but to be honest I'm not expecting much, its not just me though it's everyone in the building where I work My job is always stressful I work some of the most stupid hours sometimes, have a good chill out though make sure you make the most of it

Ah I hope work sorts itself out. Half the stress is the anticipation and not knowing what is going on. At least once you know, even if the hammer does hit you can pick yourself up and move on. Until then you start jumping at shadows. Believe me I am still trying to figure it out.

Can't wait to see what you do with the Eternal Guard and Wild Riders.

It will be a while before I get to the Eternal Guard and Wild Riders Archer, they are quite far down my list of things to paint.

Today we have some skeletons who have attracted the attention of one of the locals.

They look better in the not so flesh, I just couldn't get a decent picture today but you get the idea.

Next we have some undead cavalry but that's after an assembly session as I want to get my other Sicaran built and undercoated before the weather turns.

That's a cool looking undead base. Hopefully the work thing works itself out. Would it be worth looking for a new job now if the current place is seeming unstable and overly stressful anyway?

Thanks Azazelx I think it came out ok. Really enjoyed painting the skink yesterday, I think it was sculpted by the same person who did the metal Wood Elves, it's got so many extra details that made it lots of fun.

I might have a look round and see what other Lizardmen were scuplted in the same style....

In regards to work I'll be one of the last to go, I have a good redundancy package due to being nearly made redundant multiple times before

I'm still here but my paint brush is having a rest at the moment.

I'm full on into assembly mode now before the winter hits, and its not far away now. I also may have more painting time than I know what to do with soon so I'm getting everything prepped and ready, it will happen just don't know the time frames as of yet.

I have this week off so will be getting some more stuff assembled as the week progresses.

So from this weekend we have

Some Undead cavalry for Kings of War

Treemen for Kings of War, not quite finished yet as we have something missing from the center

Lastly I'm currently building some Gorgorars for Darklands, three down two to go.

The middle one was a right pain first I lost her tongue and had to make her a new one. Then her weapon was as bent as a banana, its a lot more straighter now but is still bent as per the picture and that weapon has so far broken in four different places

The other two went together perfectly

Tomorrow will see the other two Gorgorars and then its Sicaran time again, really need to get this built and undercoated as soon as possible otherwise I wont be able to touch it until next year. I've got a few other things for my Mantis Warriors as well.
