Pondering something yet again now I have my pics looking much clearer, should I entertain my idea of re taking all my shots of my FleshEaters army? so I can then put them in the Dakka Gallery? I have a bunch of models which you know and it'd take me a while but I think it'd be worth it to retake and show them off hopefully to good reviews! the old photos were taken with my phone and not really very clear but i can get them at least as good as my Slaanesh pics which might entice Dakkaites to check the gallery of them!

Also just to tease, I have been slowly doing little bits of painting before work each night, my Hell-Bitches have had some washes and looking nice and on point! and the Oblitz are getting some love too, although I am struggling to work out a suitable colour for their tabbards? any thoughts there? also their heads, should they be done as Azreema's is? or different altogether?

Yea porn is obvious but it also makes it easier for people to loads the page when there isn't 10000 awesome pics to load

They still have to load. You'd be better splitting them up, posting a few at a time or just posting a few examples to direct people to the gallery.

O.k I might do the new pics a bunch at a time starting in a bout 6 hours....... or whenever i wake up ;-)

also, does anyone think it would be a good idea for me to use a set of the wings from a Plague fly and paint and fit them to my Daemon Prince? I'm torn as whether to do it or not! if i don't use them on him I may use a few sets and put them on my scratch converted Heldrake?

It would be cool but I think better served on a heldrake, tbh.

I could be wrong but by my understanding if it's coded into the web page then it loads when you open it. As I understand it the spoiler tags just effect formatting. I could well be proved wrong but I'm quite certain that's how it works.

Got a little teeny tiny bit of work in progress on the Demonettes and Oblits

first the Oblitz, I need input on what colour to paint their faces and tabbards? i'm thinking the tabbard robe things should be done in hazard stripes or chevrons? suit the nature of them?




next up is my Hell-Bitches, I am liking them so far but can see them being very time consuming and then potentially unimpressive due to the small size of them losing the details? but I think i'm on the right track!



and i tried some new shots of old models not bad but not perfect yet, the light was good, then bad, then good, then bad then I got shirty and just did it!

Yeah, I think some hazard stripes would be good somewhere on the Oblit's and green skin is not a bad idea Gits', not hulk green maybe more sickly green.

Nice pictures. I think the Predator is my favourite from that bunch.

I was thinking something similar but pale. I guess any of those colors done pale would work. What ever makes the skin more dominant than it is.

Damo, damn duderkins, I think your hell bitches are going to look bad ass, and so far your retakes really look jazzed up. But you are now learning that taking good pictures can be harder then painting well

I don't know if you've given any idea as to basing these, but I think different colored grass fo the bases, some nicely manicured, some mown smooth, and some wildly overgrown don't know why I went there

Sorry, my recommendation wasn't clear... I was thinking something grey/green for the tabbards, so that it really contrasts nicely with the pinkish-red of the skin on the arms and such. Which brings me to my next point... why would you paint the face differently? Isn't it made out of the same basic stuff as the arms?

Maybe blend it to a bit more of a flesh tone so it more closely resembles the skin tone of humans they once were... but other than that... I wouldn't recommend changing it all that much.

Of course, why didn't I think of that! sometimes I tend to over think things eh but i took your advice and did some more work on them, nothing finished yet but I like how they look now with some more focal direction






and I added a little red to the tips of the Girlz claws, think it's just what they needed!



I am also trying to work on another little tute of how i do my faces on my models my biggest prob is getting a clear shot of each stage but I should be at least able to get something done tomorrow!

Your officially in the dog house I was checking your thread and my iChat year old daughter came up behind me and was reading over my shoulder. Didn't notice her until she asked me why those girls had weird hands and why they had their boobies out?
