Both bare heads are from the sternguard kit I think, I had the stern & the Van kits but i'm pretty sure they're both Stern heads!

the other background bare head is a BA one, I just popped it in as a stand in until I get a few GK helms it's not painted the bestest! ;-)

Yo, started my HG Dreadnought today, not much actually done but I did the yellows and based the reds and metals. I think I'm pretty much done with the yellow but I'll touch it up after I do the rest of him as I'll probably get some paint on bits I don't want I also primed Whaleys Chaplains ready to actually start them and I sent BigH's bare heads and Elnibbus DKoK model in the post, two little light boxes that cost me $40! crazy thank you Aus post!

here's the dread so far, this is how all my models start out too, a little rough a little messy then I refine it each step until im happy with it and then take pics that hide the crap bits

One question though, why is the dred halved, and not quartered?

That's the first thing that stood out to me as well... are you planning to add dreadnought-bling to him, or keep him plain, or freehand-a-go-go?

Easily fixed, just separate the model at the waist and turn him around. That will teach the dreadnought not to report to the techmarines for his yearly physical/repaint pivoted 180 degrees

he could be from the Squawking Chickens chapter and just trying to get reassigned, the do share similar heraldry except the Squawking chickens only have the halved pattern. It's to remind the tyranids that one side is white meat the other side is dark meat .

At least you only need to redo the legs, it could have been much worse.

Well, he could always leave it as-is. After all, a quartered Land Raider or Rhino would (usually) look halved from the front angle. The Tech-Priests may have simply painted the venerable War Machine (with a warrior inside) in a manner that preserves uniformity with the Chapter's other War Machines - so as to not offend their Machine Spirits...

Thank YOU for having a look through all this stuff from the rubbish stuff to the cool stuff glad to have you onboard and now I can't burn my brushes for the halved dreadnought mistake and I must keep going!

Well i've rectified the Dread leg situation and done some more on him, still a way to go with washes etc.but eh! at last he's quartered

and I started Whaleys Chappy's too not heaps done but they're on the way and lookin' alright I think...

Looking brilliant. Dread, much better. The guys look great. Only a small point, shouldn't it be Red/Yellow, not Yellow/Red? .................................JK looks brilliant, and I have no idea.

Yellow/red is the right way, only the FW version seems to be the other way round from what I've seen.

He's looking great so far Nerdy, did you free hand the the chapter symbol, looks great.
