I must admit Damo... I am saddened by that thought that you won't be keeping your AdMech. They're going to be a spectacular show-piece. On the other hand, it is nice that you'll be making some money from your considerable talents.

I play my 30K forces vs. 40K forces on a regular basis. The only thing that we don't get, and I am not saddened by, is formations.

Stay the course, build the hell out of that Mechanicum force and trounce your 40K opponents!

And I am building a Mechanicum force myself, and seeing you paint one up for play is motivation for me to paint. I own, but have not painted:

I could keep them I know and just have them as a collection or display and Combat Engineer makes a point that I 'can' still play them if I want to as my games are only ever with mates and nothing serious :-) but I do need to get some mode of transport and to be honest this seemed like a best of both worlds scenario where I have them already *check* I love the look of them *check* I want to paint them really well *check* I want desperately for others to enjoy my journey with them *check* I need a way to make some money *check* I have something that is potentially worth $1000. *check*

So, I'll bring them to the fore rapidly and lavish some love on them, with your help and guidance and comments I can be directed to paint something great! then hopefully if anyone anywhere thinks anyone may be interested in the army they can just contact me and offer me whatever! :-) then everyone's happy campers!

Pretty much! although i'm waiting on some bits that were missing to arrive then I'll begin the project while I find something to buy for second prize in the nerdcademy awards.... and NO a fully painted Forgeworld Mech army is not 2nd place

This probably won't interest many but it could just be a spur in the side of someone keen to start mechanicus? you know how I was/am planning on painting up the FW Mech army and then sell it to buy a new car? well, I found and bought one cheap that is really great condition! so while I still need to sell the army to pay for it properly I only need to get a fraction of what I originally intended, so if you or any mates are thinking about it please msg an offer to me and if I say yes, you'll get a fully painted Mechanicus force for a good price! :-)

I've nearly finished my Flesh Eaters Terminator squad for my AoP board but they're at that limbo stage where they're nearly finished enough to be finished so if I took pics they wouldn't show enough progress when they're done! :-) yeah, get ya head around that one.....

I know you already came up with a scheme, but did you see this new knight on FW? Apparently it will be an official Dark Mechanicus faction compete with transfers and the like. Thought it might tickle your death wing funnybone and looks pretty killer.

Hey guys! I've missed you all! got a bunch of photo's to show you, not sure where to start so I might just begin with some pics from the Armies on parade at my local store! not many entrants and a few had been taken home by the time I got down to collect mine.

Now for some actual new-ish stuff got all the 30K Mechanicus models together and added the rubble basing for these guys as I'm really going to do a great job for Whaley as he is now going to buy the army and I want him to have a good looking army for his growing collection! to give the fragile parts like the mechandrites some more stability I positioned them to be resting on another more solid part of the model so they had two points of glue











And just because it's been a while I had a good day for taking some pics of my furry kids again, so if you want to see my doggies have a look, if not....... meh!

*drooling* mech stuff is looking great. can't wait for mine to actually arrive >< Thantars really are pretty sizeable. I didnt think they'd be THAT big. The vorax are also much bigger than I thought - lovely figs but still not sure about the heads. Lot of awesome painting ahead of you!

Cheer guys! I am really really pumped that I won the comp and the feedback from some of the guys in the store was really positive and they were quite keen to find out how I did things, I didn't think hiding in my Nerd room painting was that exciting to those who are actively involved in the hobby in stores, playing and painting with others to encourage them along but I'm pleased they wanted to talk to me and a couple seemed really cool and we've discussed a learning game with a few of us :-)
