O.K O.K I'll do it! :-) but I need to finish a Magos Dominus for Gits first........ and yep, he's different from the first one I did for him.

Dominus number two! I tried to get a different feel to this guy, but still retain the baroque machine god feel to him, make him a bit darker and a bit dirtier so he can be used for both Mechanicus and dark Mechanicus.

I faded the robes down to black on the bottom and slightly rusted some parts of his bionics as well as giving him a couple of liquid filled canisters on his back to help him stand out

The large vial up top looks fantastic. Definitely sells the liquid effect.

Suitably crusty! That Dominus is very rusty, whilst the vial on top is a distinct contrast, being shiny and clean. Well done all in all!

That Dominus is insane! Is that rust all paint or weathering powders also? Incredible job on the vials as well.

Thanks guys, glad you like the Dominus! he was painted all brush no powders, just sneaky paint washes and a bit of blending here and there i'm currently assembling wave 2 of RiTides army hence my absence as i've nothing to show yet

Hey guys! welcome back happy new year to everyone and I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday season with your families! so this post is my introduction into 2017 you may (or may not) have been wondering where i've been lately well, i've been busy, lots of shifts at work and that along with the season it's just been crazy but I have not neglected my duty of being a guardian of the sacred brush and as such I have built and finished wave 2 of RiTides admech force

yes yes I know, "where are the updates?" well, I kinda only had a chance to get up early and paint for a while but not really enough time to take pics and update so you have my apologies in that regard and I shall endeavour to remedy that situation from here on in!

but I guess by now you're wondering what an earth I actually painted? ........

Now, the next few shots are legs..... Rook legs to be more accurate and they are going to be the stand in Krios tanks but i'm waiting on the bodies to arrive, we mucked around with a conversion to a turret for them but decided against it and went with the originals instead.

Admechingtastic stuff! Lovely work all round,, but the 3 servitors are definitely my favourite, full of character! Did you buy them like that, or are they all converted/kitbashed?

I notice it's about a year since the last one, can we expect another Nerdcademy challenge any time soon?

Happy new year nerdy! The latest batch of models/pics are epic! I think you've really developed your own unique paint style over the years and you've been able to apply it with incredible effect on the ad-mech stuff. All I can say is paint up MOAR!

His first post of 2017.....and he puts up 150 amazingly painted models. Damnit damo. Great stuff. LOve all of it but i think my fav is the first model posted. A centurion? I don't know....anyways I second paradigm, nerdchale he. Bring it. My chops are ready.

I don't recognise these. What range are these legs from?

In my head, I know that those are painted, not actually weathered metal, but I cannot fathom how they AREN'T actually weathered metal. Unfreakinbelievable.
