Useful not great but useful.

The weapons are excellent and compatible with the Soldiers and Cultists. Nicely barbaric as well. The arms are great lots of nice touches with the armour plates. The bodies will also provide excellent fodder. The heads are only ok but even so most of these will be mutant fodder for me anyway. All in all it's like the Frostgrave Soldiers good but not excellent. It'll still provide an excellent backbone for various beastmen warbands for any fantasy game. About midway between GW and Mantic.

That sounds workable. Are they bigger than FG humans?

Maybe slightly. Not by much certainly.

I've also found scenery producing magic. Rustoleum textured spray paint wonderful stuff and available cheaply from Wilkos. Just remember to cover any styrofoam with a coat of PVA first.

Described as an insanely fast hairless daemon monkey I feel the Pest of Flesh gives it the right look although I do have to sort out some new small constructs.

Pest of Flesh from Rackham's Dirz line. Rackham models would be right up your street but the company is sadly defunct. Shame as they had probably my all time favourite miniature line

I've also been playing a fair amount of Epic lately and felt the need for more Long Range firepower in my chaos

2nd Decimator is a nice start. Dark Realm miniatures Castellan which took 3 years to paint. Hmmph although that's better than most of the Army of New Haven.

Hell Talon as well. Hydra Miniatures Privateer War Rocket.

With all this Epic Chaos I felt the need for something to fight them.

This Katana will do nicely.

More Frostgrave stuff again.
Mordheim Champion actually one of the first box of Warhammer (as opposed to 40k) figures I brought probably in about 2001 so he's taken about 15 years to paint.

This guy however took less than a month from purchase to finish

Reaper Bones Werewolf. Goopy layer of cheap acrylic down first for adhesion and then all was well. Personally I like Bones. Cheap and reasonable looking. While I don't think they are cheap enough for rank and file compared to hard plastic they are far cheaper and easier to work with than metal or normal resin for big monsters. So for things like Frostgrave beasties excellent!

Got my thesis in the post on time and so it's back to work it does mean I'll have a lot more time on my hands though to do things like this.

It's the stereotypical foam core and styrofoam ziggurat. I've tiled it using cord and it'll combine with my serpent head tombs to make an interesting table for Frostgrave.

Another shot showing brave Arabs heroically attempting to stop a foul Necromantic rite. I've got te scale about right it'll dominate a skirmish game but allow plenty of movement around and over.

Cheers Josh yes it's big about 2ft square but these things are big in real life and it'll really create a scenario in a skirmish game especially when combined with my 4 fish tank serpent head tombs to create a theme table.
