I think it was the backlash from some of the Infinity crowd on Romeo's apparent attitude and knownledge of the game. I've only listened to one episode, but in it he rambled on about broken lists and cheesy units etc etc. Kept me from listening to it any further personally. It kinda bothered me that an official rep had no clue on the game's balance or tactics.

While I personally preferred to listen to tom and Kip, I've never felt Romeo was annoying or irritating. I hope they reconsider, the podcast was actually interesting and helped me fill inn the lonely slow hours at work.

Heh, maybe I should take my buddy up on the offer and start a podcast... not like I don't already have 70 Infinity related responsibilities on my plate lmao.

It was less than that, more the fact that he decided to use airtime for the show to have a pretty big rant at the people who "trolled" him in his opinion.

Threatening one of the members on the official Infinity forums with finding him offline wasn't such a pro move either.

Dude, YES. Do it x2. Having a podcast moderated by someone who has in-depth knowledge of the game and who is an active community member would rule.

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Romeo should basically be kept out of public contact. He runs a mean business and his products are great. He's just terrible at interacting with people.

Nope! The thread was exterminated with extreme prejudice.

However, Fix is most certainly not exaggerating.

This might have been Romeo's biggest blowout to date.

Hey guys. I'm sad that this is what's pushing me from 'lurker for 16 months' to posting more actively on Dakka, but yeah. This entire matter was a real mess. Probably the darkest drama I've seen ever related to Infinity.

Very disappointing conduct, and well. I don't know why 'certain parties' think there's a conspiracy against them.

I've got the messages in question (hell, the entire thread) saved. But I don't think it'd be tactful to post that horrific affair unless people really want to see it.

Looks like they're reconsidering, at least according to their latest facebook post.

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

Really? You don't know why?

Maybe it's because of things such as this, Killionaire. The "darkest drama" happens, and now here you are offering up the saved thread?

I'm not a fan of Romeo. But I think that sometimes a spade is a spade, and in this instance I might need to do some shoveling.

Honestly, all that is needed was for Romeo to keep quiet about the topic or discuss it in a venue where it was appropriate.
On the podcast? Not the appropriate venue.

I don't have a particular dislike of Romeo, and it has been a while since I listened to 40K Radio. But I did think that the few episodes after Romeo quit running the show were a lot more enjoyable than the ones before. That was probably 6 months or so ago.

Well, I didn't have a particular dislike for him either but after being on the recieving end of his selfrighteous shenanigans I sure have plenty dislike for him now.

I did listen to thier podcast, but after hearing that rant filled with vitriol and getting angrier as he went on, I've decided to not bother with it any more. It was just childish & unprofessional - if he had a beef, then he could have just said "we're not rules experts, we've never claimed to be" like he did at the beginning of the rant. Or invite the people to record their own segment and submit it, money where mouth is stylee.

Unpleasant to listen to, frankly. If I want an earful of aggressive ranting over nothing, I'll go home and talk to the wife.

Isn't it possible that the show might be able to continue without him? I've heard the show a couple of times, but couldn't tell you which voice was his!

I have to say though it does all sound hilarious. What exactly had been said about him on the Infinity forums (especially considering they are generally quite amicable there?)

Looks like it. I do think that O-12 were doing a pretty good job overall, HMG noises and blokeish braying aside.

I like the show and I don't really care if one of them doesn't know everything about the rules. Just the fact that it exists is great.

@BlueDagger: Hey do one anyway! Don't wait for them to no longer do one or anything. It's not like I wouldn't l listen to all three pod casts! I listen to both of them and watch pretty much every Infinity thing on Youtube. The more the better.

Damn, that's a nice model.

Quick question for y'all; is there an English version of http://infinitythegame.com/dt_army/? I didn't see a button to switch languages. It's not too hard to work out what things mean, but I'm trying to learn the game and would prefer to learn the English terms and acronyms.

Cheers

You can change language from selecting the flags in the army selection screen, but it has yet to be updated and be up to date.

You can use http://anyplace.it/ia/ this instead.

Looks amazing! I'm not entirely convinced of the Tohaa official colour scheme, as beautifully as it is painted, I'd be tempted to try something different and exemplify the biological nature of their synthetic armour.

They do that.

The "synthetic armour" is actually only the glowing orangey bits. They wear "generic armour" plates, with some feeds/containment system holding the symbiotic armour in place.

It's most noticeable on the Hatail Spec-Ops.

The new Tohaa guy looks amazing. I liked the other Gao-Rael's sniper rifle hoodie pose, but this one has a dynamic 'I'm cutting through jungle' sort of machete thing.

That's a better sort of dynamic pose model than 'guy backflipping over a bannister' or 'upside down monk' we've seen on some older models
