If it's sniper month, I wish they remake the Tuareg models for Haqq. They're not as bad as the the other old models but I wouldn't be buying one and will be using my Naga Sniper as a proxy until they sculpt another one.

All the other Haqq snipers look ace. Oh wait, they still haven't done the Ghulam sniper.

Haqqislam is supposed to be seeing the resculpted Ghazi Muttawi'ah this month.

Ghulam will probably get a special weapon box. It's likely taking a lot longer because the base rifle models were done with standard sculpting, and they like doing the boxes with digital sculpting now. The main problem is Ghulam simply have too many profiles. A box with a sniper, missile launcher, hacker and HMG would be ace, but then the panzerfaust model doesn't get updated and we still miss the LGL Drop the HMG and add the LGL, and we'll have all of the profiles, but 2 in the old aesthetics.

And yeah, as Kan said, updated Ghazi are this month. A box I've been waiting a long time for.

The blade and hood are both Moira-style, plus the name's kind of a dead giveaway. If it's a character, it wouldn't really expand the fluff much. But the Church within Bakunin has always seemed like it could accommodate more units and narrative IMO.

Kind of the perfect balance versus the Hospitaler in Icestorm. I'm definitely buying the set and splitting it with a Pan O player!

I'm not sure I like it. alongside that odd placement of the magazine the cloak is kind of boxy.

As with little guns for ladies, and impractical hair, I can sort of see the issue with the magazine placement, now it's been pointed out, but with minis this good looking I'm absolutely unconcerned. That scout is going straight on my 100% definitely buying list.

They can put the mag wherever they want, it is a futuregun after all. Maybe it has all sorts of internal bits and bobs for recoil supression in the back and that is why the placement is different.

According to the facebooks you will be able to pre-order this from CB at the end of July and it will be in the webstore through GenCon. After that, eBay, at thrice the price.

Yes, except for the part where the Spetsnaz has the same weapon with a few subtle changes. The main one being the relocation of the mag just because.

They didn't do preorders/web orders for the Anaconda or Scarface. It was just "early release".

Worth mentioning as well those items were not labeled as "Limited Edition" like Penthesilea seemingly is.

It is a Limited Edition, so I would say yes, there are limited numbers. And an interesting choice for an LE model too.

About the scout:
is there a gun specialist who can explain the interest of having the magazine in this position ?
for me the future of gun was the bullpup configuration to put the "action" the closest possible of the shoulder to reduce recoil
and they have done the opposite ?!

Bullpup sniper rifles are seemingly rare, except for in the case of antimaterial rifles (read: big honking rifles like the M82A1 fifty caliber rifles).

As above. Most of the time you don't want your face right next to a large caliber shell firing like you would have with a bullpup.

What you do want in a sniper weapon is barrel length. The longer your barrel, the greater muzzle velocity you have for the projectile when it exits the barrel.

With the magazine placement on the new scout model, it would lose a good amount of barrel length for no appreciable reason. This makes the weapon both less accurate and have a less effective range on the battlefield.

While, theoretically, the scout's rifle could be some new experimental weapon with greater recoil dampening in the rear receiver (hence the forward placement of the magazine to fit the bolt carrier in front of said recoil dampener),

I think it was just done by the sculptor for art's sake. Easier to put the supporting left arm in the position it is in if the mag was moved forward.


As for the bullpup weapon design, it wasn't to put hte recoil closer to the shoulder. It was to make a weapon with an overall shorter length while having the same length barrel as a normal rifle.
You can make a bullpup rifle with say a 14 inch barrel about 6-8 inches shorter than a normal rifle. It makes it easier to carry in and out of vehicles, and maneuver in tight spaces.
