The Dacian 9th have fought the Tyranids in an extended campaign and are now few in number. Linking up with the 1/1 they work together to fight the bug menace. The 9th veterans paint their armor with yellow camo in belief it confused the Tyranids. Does it work? These grizzled few would say yes.

Of course. It happened sitting outside in the sun waiting for varnish to dry and I didnt catch it until after I took photos. Forge World resin is easy to get warm and bend but on the other hand just as easy to readjust.

The dragon is really an awesome kit that with the correct paint scheme could be used for any army. Even the "throne" is somewhat generic and could be used for just about anything if painted correctly.

The Lord is a conversion from a second Morathi. A simple leg resculpt and then bits from the Dragon Lord sprues.

Hey all. Just finished up the 5 Chaos Titans I was blogging the assembly of a couple weeks back, if you recall.

It was fun to work on something so different, both in assembly and painting. There are a surprising amount of differences between painting a Titan and a vehicle, more than one would imagine at first glance.



Silly Orks! The Reavers stand easily 2-2.5 feet tall. The buildings in the foreground are actually stacked 3 high.



























The Nurgle Warhound is painted to match an upcoming Guard army, but it also shares colors with a Death Guard army I have done for the customer in the past. The base is a combination of loose barrels, putty, water effects and GW terrain.



The Knights Haemophage Titans are painted to match the 15,000 point Knights army that was done back in January of this year. They are themed around corrupted Blood Angels, so the bases were built around the gothic looking Garden of Morr sets for a vampiric look.

Night Lords Reaver. The wings (along with almost everything on all of these Titans) are magnetized with 1/2" rare earth magnets. Despite the heft it takes both arms to get the wings off. They aren't going anywhere!

The customer wanted a city ruins sort of base. GW terrain was simply too bulky to use correctly, so I built up a city street with sidewalks and lots of rubble. Dumpster, washing machine, barrels, and other rubble make up the litter in the street.

I misunderstood the shade of gold and blue the customer was after on the blue Titan. 99% of the time I get it right the first time, but here's proof no matter the size of the project I will see it through.

While I was at it he requested a bit of freehand. We went for lightning on some of the armor and a dark Chaos star over a night sky on the right knee pad. I enjoyed doing freehand such as this, it is sort of the victory lap at the end when a project is coming together. Saving the cherry for after you drink the shake.

I also added a banner between the legs made of smoothed and cut putty and piping. This is magnetized to the bottom of the armor. The emblem is a corrupted College Titanica symbol.

No clue how you just whip up a change in color scheme, make a banner and add some free hand in a couple days on something that size.

What I'd like to see is a video of you painting this stuff. You know, like one of those time-lapse videos. A days work condensed into a few minutes, just so I can have a few minutes taste of awesome.

The blue/black comp looks great, particularly on the troops, but the magma colors on the vehicles look truly evil.

The customer converted them with a LOT of plasticard. Deep down in there is a small foundation of an Ork trukk.

Space Hulk!

Really nice Space Hulk set. But then everything you do is of a very high standard so that's not too surprising. Like the brightness of the red armour in comparison to the dark genestealers. Looking forward to your next massive army!
