Im kinda sad i wont be able to get my hands on the Brony DOC, I wanted to see it.

They're still selling it Hotsauce, still going to release the DVD too.

On a sales note here's the email I just sent hasbro.

A brief survey of a small group of the My Little Pony fans referred to as "Bronies" was undertaken regarding fair pricing of official high quality My Little Pony plush toys from Hasbro.

With acceptable margin of error and a few small outliers the respondents overwhelmingly favored a $40-50 price point. Which is affordable and extremely attractive to the bulk of the "Brony" fanbase's demographic which is usually young adults in their twenties, costing around the same as a new video game and comparing favorably to similar items from other fandoms many bronies belong to such as various anime series.

All respondents asked about features and expressed a desire for show accuracy, quality eyes, embroidered cutie marks as opposed to screen printing and high quality materials such as minky.

Only one respondent expressed satisfaction or willingness to purchase Hasbro's current line of MLP plush toys.

15 respondents noted willingness to pay even more for "background" ponies such as "Lyra Heartstrings", or the now famous "Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo"

Cost:

Since we're using 1000 pieces/per character as a nice round number, it's worth noting that the individual pricing per toy will be high. in the $7.00 range per the 12" chart from the Canadian manufacturer. This particular manufacturer charges per unit and breaks it up per design, as with all things economy of scale does help push costs down if more units per design are purchased. Going international to manufacturers in China could potentially be cheaper per unit but with shipping and possible tariffs could actually be less desirable then working with a continental manufacturer such as Binkley.

Benefit:
Engaging the brony community directly with targeted limited releases prior to the release of season three and the well spring of activity amongst the brony community created by that release. While the cost per unit might be high, it requires no investment on Hasbro's part past the units themselves and by offering it as an "Online only" item (where the brony demographic is more likely to shop) only requires simple direct shipping.

- No retooling of current Hasbro production lines
- Limited runs drums up interest and minimizes risk
- Sounds the Brony fanbase out for more "official releases" from Hasbro
- Partnering with established Brony community websites such as Equestria Daily makes reaching the entire fanbase as simple as an email. Little to no official marketing required.
- Given the fast selling of the limited run "Derpy Hooves" limited edition figurine at San Diego Comic Con and it's secondary market pricing in the $120-$200 range we can extrapolate that the Bronie community is a viable market.
-We can further extrapolate the market potential from the Brony community's own plush sales, a decent quality plush toy from one of the well known craft sewers is usually in the $100+ range, and many thousands of these plush toys have been made and sold.
Cost/Gain.
six thousand plushies (one thousand each of the "mane six" - $37,260.00
Pricing plushies at: $40
-Total: $240,000.00
-Net: $202,740.00
Pricing plushies at: $50
-Total: $300,000.00
-Net: $262,740.00

Conclusion:
The brony market should be carefully considered and watched but small risk high gain potential maneuvers like the above to make sense as sounding tests.

i agree though the plot of that episode felt a little (really) rushed IMHO..... they couldve made that two seperate episodes and really twicorn just felt shoehorned in there instead of the fandom apocalypse i was fearing

Most of the episodes this season felt too rushed, the the rushed finale was no surprise. No Discord was a little surprising, not even a cameo/token appearance. I would love it if season 4 was 13 two-part episodes to make their 26 total.

Oh, and season four? It starts in October... Of Next Year!

So much Derpy! Was a bit rushed as mentioned, but worked rather nicely. The songs were great.

I can't believe it has come to this...

My 4 year-old daughter is on a big MLP kick and we started playing the MLP game on our Kindle Fire a few weeks ago. We don't have any friends that play the game, so the whole social aspect of getting stuff is cut off for us, but then I remembered the massive MLP thread on Dakka. So is there anyone on here who plays the MLP tablet video game and wants to be our friend? (I seriously cannot believe it has come to this...)
