Just watched the first 2 episodes of Girls Und Panzer, and boy did it make me laugh. The ludicrous "Tankery will make you a better wife, mother, and more complete, healthy and beautiful woman!" video particularly made me snigger. And the Chibi-Panzer in the credits of episode 2 was very funny.
My one gribble with it is that the CGI tanks really jar with the hand drawn surroundings and characters.

Exactly! If there had been excessive cheesecake ala Strike Witches I would have ejected after the second episode or so. It's taken on the nose enough to pretend to be plausible but it's absurd enough that it's impossible to not be amused.

I think its interesting that they call each other brother and sister while they know there cousins. Its more normal to call strangers brother or sister and cousins I would have thought. I probably am just needed a touch up on my Japanese.

Also been watching Girls und Panzer. I love the 'Historical' team with the Rommel and Caesar girls. "Apologize to the Finnish!", haha.

Yes. They were raised as siblings pretty much from birth.

Oh, a King Tiger, to be sure. Especially if the Rule of Cool applies. I'd happily be the end boss that gets beaten in a last ditch, all-or-nothing attempt to win if I got to ride in one of those.

Magi is so good! I hope it goes the way of fairy tale and the other long running series. Its pretty long for a manga series as it is so I don't think it would be too much a surprise. What I've seen so far really balances some of the darker anime that I'm watching and I've been looking foreword to each episode like I haven't for a series of the nature for a while.

If I were doing Tankery with a bunch of Japanese schoolgirls (I still have my fingers crossed) this would be my tank of choice:

There are appearance mods for that. Only the Chinese get the solid gold skinned tank (it costs $600 as I understand it and is just a skin for the Type 59) in game.

Well, I decided to watch End of Evangelion...
It was without a doubt the most disturbing thing I have ever seen. Ever. It went beyond the unsettling and depressing stuff if the main series and went into pure, unadulterated nightmare fuel. The mass production Eva series, the screaming, the hideous psycho-sexual symbolism, the sequences of rapidly changing images, Kom Susser Tod playing whilst Shinji completely and utterly loses his mind...The fact that the voice actresses for Shinji and Asuka were crying after finishing the movie speaks for itself.

Alright how about favorite video game turned anime?
I think valkyria chronicles is one of the only I have ever seen that was a video game first. An i enjoyed it enough. Not one of my top 10 anime, but still good.
Is tales of symphonia any good? I have been trying to find where I can watch the first season.

ToS was pretty good, Valkyria Chronicles looks good in anime format, I'll have to poke around after it.

Watched episode 4 of Girls Und Panzer. Marvellous stuff. At first I was a bit uncomfortable with what seemed like one of the characters's mother disowning her, but then I remembered the whole thing is a massive spoof of everything, especially anime cliches and Japanese "excel at everything!" culture, with the characters's mother being a caricature of the stereotypical uber conservative "Yamato Nakeshido" (or however you spell it) woman, and chances are by the end of the series she will accept her daughter again.
Also, another visual novel even I will admit is insane...Hatoful Boyfriend. A (worksafe) dating sim where you control a female character, choosing between love interests...who are all pigeons. Well, and a psychopathic partridge. And the only good ending involves a Final Fantasy style turn based battle.
It is without a doubt the most totally brilliant thing, EVER. Period.
