The backpack is almost there =) Also working on a themed helm ( in case someone will want a helmed head). Recently chopped his legs in pieces and now trying to figure out how to put them together

Pictures please need to see this evolve Yes Helmets are always needed by those SP players what do you mean by put together Do you mean posing or just reassembling them.

Have you started the head yet ( based on the earlier picture ) or you doing the helm first

Some minor attunements and It's over, Tomorrow I hope...

The legs are a major problem however :( I changed the chest so now I have to alter all the pieces to fit new proportions and hips alone should be twice the size... alot of work ahead...
I plan to make the pose calm, without any action-style extreme positioning, but as much alive as I can.

So how exactly has the chest been altered then ? Have you widened it ?
I gather thats the head nearly finished then, I cant wait to see how this has turned out
I think a simple pose is the best approach, at least for the first one

Original GW torsos are made as if they have no stomach area so I made the belt zone more than 2 times wider to create a visual waist zone. This is supposed to make the torso look more like a human than a barrel besides IMO the belt now looks like it is actually a piece of armour, protecting the abdominal region than a thing that hold your pants at place
People usually call such changes true-scaling, but for me this is not about scale but about harmonious proportions and more space to do my sculpting

Sorry if I somehow led to believe that I'm doing the head now. I'm not :( the time limit dictates the order. And head is the hardest and less vital part, so I'm keeping it to the end. I mean that for the above mentioned competition we can use any head and then just swap it when the proper one is ready but legs and arms are vital part of posing and design so I can't use any genetic part. The helm I'm doing just because there was one lying on the table.

Storag, I must say that I am highly impressed with the sculpting skill you show, especially that Aztec-Marine concept.

I get your point about the belt section …now the difference you have made gives it more a bulky feel, plus the detail helps to pull the design together nicely.

I really cant wait to see the completed look, although a long way of I know but hey I have always been impatient

The only thing that has sprung to mind is the back pack, I was wondering if instead of the standard GW SKULL emblem maybe remove it and add a glyph

well i had some nasty swearwords on my lips when looking at these pics... dude... that is for now your most brilliant work... you know me and how i can find nitpicks here and there always... and that chest, backpack and sword get together left me without any possible criticism... how can that be??? i bet you sold your soul to some really bad god out there to get this done...

i imagine the shoulderpad and the chest piece to be painted in a stone like look... which color depends on your choice... could be black or white alabaster...this will be when finally completly sculpted some bad a.. mother...f... of a space marine... IF we ever see a squad worth of these together i think my monitor will break for the shear awesomesauce of manly ness.... i think this was meant when they invented space marines in the first place...

Considering that I got cold that must have been Nurgl And now I'm paying my price... TBH, when I look at all this I can hardly belive I've done that myself... If someone would tell me even a year ago that I can do such things with just a needle I'd laugh at his face...

The paint scheme is for Ish to decide but I too think that it would benefit from stony look with some gold and old bone.
