Thanks Ygg,

I've played with my camera and posted/ replaced some hopefully better pictures in the pervious post. Better?

Here is a pic of my hacked apart Sternguard PC's hopefully they don't look to out of place..

one of the better shot , or so I think...

All that is left is basing. I'm hoping to get all the Tac marines done this week. Then on to an apoth I been delaying!

Awesomesauce! Pic's are much better SL. Man those guys look good.

Did you see the builds for my heavies? They're up on my blog now (unfortunately as an append so it didn't bump the blog).

Nice job solar lion. My only critique would be that they are missing your awesome checkers. Other then that they look great.

The sternguard box set all has detailed shoulders. Not sure where I'd put them.

PS. Looks like an Ice Angel made the front page .. Most excellent brother!

Did you mean to only paint three backpacks with white side vent things?

Thanks for the front page comment!

I wasn't quit sure. At first I thought I would then I thought PC's are not atypical Sternguard weapons and they would be standard issue so no..

What's your opinion? Easy enough to do.

I think you should do all the vents in white... just looks good to have that contrast.

you could do checkers on the shoulder pads, so that it looks like the decorations, cruxes etc have gone on top of a regular checkered shoulder pad. would look great i reckon, if somewhat difficult to do

Glory to the Twelfth! Glory to Angron!

‎"Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls. The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does. That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

I agree with Calas, especially the two with the plasma cannons, and I reckon the studded pad would be pretty cool with checks.

Yeah it is a nice touch.. At least no one recomended checkering the vents! I have to go back and do some of the older figures but it would break up the yellow.

Great suggestion but are you "trying to kill me?" You might be right. I might try it on a shoulder pad from my bits box; Thou after I get my Adepticon Lists, GMS's and Display done.

Mostly, on my phone.

Sternguard are looking top, love the pose with the book! Where does that hand come from? I had a couple in my bits box but would be good to be able to source more!

Or maybe try checkering some "original" parts of the armour, such as thighs, shins, or arms ? Even the "knuckle-guard" could look good (if hard & tiny too) !!

So... are they golden or are they yellow?? (note diff in pics)

Nice work on the scouts, did you have plans for the cloaks?

There more golden yellow. The lighting is a bit different on the POV shot. they are more like the first Pic.

The Cloaks are a bit Mottled .. The theme was urban rubble as I suspect they are always in cover . That why they are dusted and match the base, ( gun and silencer for example - like a modern sniper)

Got it... didn't get the urban rubble thing so they looked kind of unfinished. Have you considered ringing the bases in some other color (like black)? It would make them look a bit more finished.

OH-I Wanna get out of here

You should checker the cloak's. Then no one would see em. They could sneak into the Imperial Chess Tourney totally undetected and mess with people's turn clocks. MWUhahahahahahahha!!!

Actually, a single line of checkers along the border lf the cloak would be awesome.

I think I'm going to steal that idea for an ork nob one day... is it possible to steal my own idea??

Some more pic from the Almost completed Tac squad. Missing the Hvy weapon ( I think I went overboard on the contrast in this shot! )

On a side note here is a picture of one of the extra's that will be on our Adepticon display
Lets call him Meril.

Or speaking of chess boards... Traitor Alice mocks the Sister superior of the Red Queens and proceeds up the stairs to do battle with the Imperial Ordinance called the “ Jabberwocky” and suddenly three red dots appear on her breastplate.. " I thought you had 4 snipers in your list.." A slight smile appears on the sisters face..." You didn't think we'd let the mad Hatman live did you?"

Now back to our regular scheduled program...

More progress on the tactical squads . Painted the shoulder trimand chapter badges, started the basing. Next steps .. finish the basing with tuffs and grass. go back thru the checkers and clean a bit more up.

The armless guys will be the ML's ( waiting on parts)

Also our Adepticon reserve player took the Raptors chapter. Here is some WIP shots of the 2 tac squads.
